Bruce Anthony: [00:00:41] Like, comment, share, share with your friends, share with your family. Hell even share with your enemies. On todayās episode is the sibling happy hour. Iām here with my sis Jay, Andrea. Weāre gonna be dilly daddying a little bit. Then weāre gonna be talking about Jackie Robinson, and then weāre gonna be talking about strip clubs.
Bruce Anthony: [00:00:59] But thatās enough of the intro. Letās get to the show.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:09] What up sis?
J. Aundrea: [00:01:10] up, brother?
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:11] I canāt call it. I canāt call it. Look how your brackets looking right now.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:15] Terrible, terrible, terrible. But you know what, thatās all right. I, I did have St. Johnās to win it all, and of course, you know, they fell yesterday. So, uh,
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:27] Did you pick St. Johnās? Just because our cousins went to St. Johnās.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:31] a very convincing argument because I asked the same question. I said, are we rooting for St. Johnās here just because youāre an alumni?
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:40] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:40] said, no.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:41] She made a convincing argument about their defense and everything. So I said, okay. And I went for it and not, but, you know, I wasnāt gonna pick Duke. wasnāt gonna do it
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:52] No.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:52] a terrapin. I canāt do that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:54] weāre not even in the same conference anymore. Weāre in the Big 10.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:57] Right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:57] and speaking of the Terrapins, I, so I have a friend who is an Indiana University alum
J. Aundrea: [00:02:06] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:07] and like he was killing me ācause he was like, Maryland football sucks. I was like, yeah, but you know, weāre not known for football. Weāre more known for basketball.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:14] He was like, Maryland basketball hasnāt been good at all. But this year, Maryland basketball has been good, but I havenāt watched any games. None. So last weekend in the Big 10 conference tournament, I was like, let me watch this Maryland, Michigan game. See what Maryland talk talking about. And there was this one player, first of all, angel Reeseās brother plays for Maryland.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:35] So that,
J. Aundrea: [00:02:36] Didnāt know that
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:37] well didnāt know that. But also Angel Reese before she played at LSU, played at Maryland. Oh
J. Aundrea: [00:02:43] Also didnāt know that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:44] yeah. The whole Reese family. They say theyāre from Baltimore, but no, theyāre from Randallstown. And if you know anything about Randallstown, youāre just like,
J. Aundrea: [00:02:51] County.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:52] Baltimore. Well, Randallstown is like, itās a ca, itās, itās, itās the black suburbs.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:58] Iām gonna just say thatās what it is. Itās the black suburb. Everybody trying to get outta the city. Every black person trying to get outta the city, go, go to Randallstown. Randalltown is one of the blackest towns. I, I know itās black and in DC Well ācause DC is more, it used to be chocolate City, now itās gonna Caramel City if that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:15] But anyway, so Iām watching the Maryland, Michigan game.
J. Aundrea: [00:03:18] Uh.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:18] Thereās this player that just jumps up off the screen now. You know, I played a little bit, you know, I coached a little bit
J. Aundrea: [00:03:24] Time to time.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:24] from time to time. Iām like, I, I think Iām pretty good evaluator of talent. And this one player just jumped off the screen to me and I was like, man, heās my favorite player on the team.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:34] After watching one game, I just knew it. So I was talking about it with my friend who went to Indiana and he was like, well, who is he? And I said, his name is Queen. Heās only a freshman. I was like, I wonder if heās like, I think he has pro potential from what Iāve seen, but I wonder what his, like if heās entering in the draft or anything, I looked him up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:51] That boy is a top five pick. No, what? He jumped off at the screen.
J. Aundrea: [00:03:55] yeah. Well, thatās what you get for not knowing, not watching any games. You like this boy, this boy might have some potential. Well, so does everyone else. Everyone else thinks that you and everyone else also thinks that you
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:11] I was,
J. Aundrea: [00:04:12] Nobody knew.
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:14] I thought, I thought, I was like, I got it. Look, this is boy on Maryland. The boy name is Queen. You mean the guy thatās projected to be a top five pick? Oh yeah. I aināt know that I watched one game. What game? But the boy is good. And then I was talking, I started talking trash to my friend. He is like, ah, we not gonna do that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:30] You aināt watched not one game all year. You watch one game in which they lose.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:35] Right,
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:36] and now all of a sudden you are a Maryland fan again. I was like, look, Iām an alumni. I can come, come in and outta my fandom whenever I want. Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:44] Because as long as my degrees is University of Maryland, I can root for them anytime I feel like it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:50] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:50] And period. Shout out to Derrick Queen
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:53] Yeah. The boy play
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:57] five pick, of course he jumped off the.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:01] for a reason.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:03] Uh, I didnāt do a bracket. ācause like I said, I didnāt watch any games. These are the games Iām watching and I watched that Arkansas, uh, St. John game yesterday because Iām a huge John Kalari fan. He left Kentucky to go coach at Arkansas, which, you know, peopleās like, why you gonna leave Kentucky to go to Arkansas money?
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:21] And, uh, they got a little rivalry. Him and John Col, John Kalari and Rick Pitino. Uh, funny aside
J. Aundrea: [00:05:29] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:29] about, about Rick Pitino. The reason why I never trusted him as coaching is because heās had a lot of scandals and one of his, one of his scandals, one of his scandals is he had an affair on his wife. Now, thereās been a lot of men that are in positions of power that have had affairs on their wives,
J. Aundrea: [00:05:47] There
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:47] but this.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:48] who work at Footlocker who have had affairs on that,
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:53] Not even Foot Locker, sometimes foot action.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:55] right?
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:57] But Rick Pitino, uh, took a young lady to an Italian restaurant and while his boy was watching out for him, had sex with the young lady and a young lady, basically like, I donāt know, uh, whatās that? Blackmailed him and something. But, and it came out in legal cases that the, the whole, the whole interaction, and this is the reason why I donāt trust Repino.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:20] The whole interaction of this alleged affair, no, not alleged of this affair that actually happened
J. Aundrea: [00:06:24] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:25] 10 seconds. 10 seconds. Itās not an exaggeration.
J. Aundrea: [00:06:32] timed it?
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:34] I guess what mad did, he was like, you done already 10 seconds. I mean, Ricky, Ricky is old.
J. Aundrea: [00:06:42] He is not a young man.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:44] he is a, you know, young, I guess a young 10 wrote him, my man, 10 seconds.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:48] Thatās the reason why I donāt trust him. Thatās how I knew St. John was gonna win. I, thatās, Iām,
J. Aundrea: [00:06:53] we St. Johnās lost.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:54] I mean, I knew that they werenāt going to win because of that. Yeah. You know,
J. Aundrea: [00:06:58] Well.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:59] an affair. You gonna last 10 seconds? I donāt trust you. I donāt trust your decision making
J. Aundrea: [00:07:03] what
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:04] depression.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:05] Thatās what I was just about to say. How do you handle the pressure,
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:08] You donāt. Not well, not
J. Aundrea: [00:07:10] well. And so that,
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:11] well. No.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:12] you know what, I was first, I wasnāt following you, but now Iām like, okay, okay. I get it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:18] Look, it took me a little while to get around to my points. Right. But I get to,
J. Aundrea: [00:07:22] in times of stress? You
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:28] oh, I can tell. This is gonna be a funny episode ācause I already started sweating under these lights. Damn. These lights is hot. Um,
J. Aundrea: [00:07:35] is not that bright. I mean, itās not that hot. So
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:37] well I got multiple lights.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:39] yeah, you
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:40] I.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:41] lighting set.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:42] And still not good.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:43] And
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:43] Like
J. Aundrea: [00:07:44] took me how long? Weāve been doing this show, eight years, and I finally got a light.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:47] we have not been doing the show for eight years.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:49] Itās been too long that it took me to get this damn light. So.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:52] Yeah. You and you got a light and Iām sitting over here with four lights, background lights, front light, and lights still aināt right. I be looking at myself in the video, you know, I ha, I hate mirrors and video cameras. Okay. I look at myself in the mirror before I start the show. Iām like, damn, I look good.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:12] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:13] ready. Then I see the videos, Iām like, damn, this lighting really screwed me up. I be looking watched because the light, Iām already light skinned. Iām in my winter white face and the lights hitting me directly and Iām trying to light everything up, but itās still my complexion. I canāt wait for the sun to come out and I can get darker.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:32] I, Iām, I, you know, Iām having that same issue with this light. You know, itās a bright light. I used to have a much more subdued light that gave me like a, a amber glow. Okay. This is, this is my true color, and it is. True to life. So, uh, yeah, Iām in my, Iām in my sugar cookie phase right now. Just wait till sun comes out.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:58] Iāll hit snickerdoodle. Thatās about as far as I get. Um, but, you know, a little bit of cinnamon on top a
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:05] Well, I get dark cam mail ācause I, so I canāt wait for the sun to come out.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:10] you and our brother are very lucky. All tan easily and
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:12] Mm-hmm. Easily.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:14] is a beautiful, even tan. And I just donāt,
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:18] No. Well, you know, you
J. Aundrea: [00:09:19] I used to, I used to be a brown little kid and that, that went, thatās gone.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:24] I donāt know what it is, but me and you are hitting different strides in life. I was actually lighter skin when I was younger. As the older, Iām getting the darker Iām getting.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:35] It is getting a weird, it is reversing. Yeah. Now I canāt say I was ever darker skinned.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:41] No, he was never that.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:42] was never dark skinned. I was darker skinned,
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:45] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:46] dark skinned, unfortunately, even though in my spirit,
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:50] And in your spirit, you a dark-skinned soul sister.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:54] yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:55] sister soldier.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:55] not, you
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:56] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:56] me Iām, Iām
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:57] But but in reality, you
J. Aundrea: [00:09:59] but
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:00] and
J. Aundrea: [00:10:00] in
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:00] in my mind. Yeah, itās definitely in your mind.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:03] Itās in my mind. It aināt adding up in real life. Itās just not,
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:07] Yeah. It happened to mom as well. ācause mom was darker and then sheās gotten
J. Aundrea: [00:10:12] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:13] lighter as sheās gotten older. Itās that, itās that vitiligo. I got the reverse vitiligo.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:18] vi Jeez Louise. I donāt know what it is. I donāt know if, if I just, melanin production slows as you get older. I donāt, I donāt understand at all. But my skin just changed. Like, it, it used to tan and now it just burns.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:36] Yeah, well, I I donāt understand why you keep smacking the table and itās hitting the mic and itās a booming sound. Stop hitting the
J. Aundrea: [00:10:44] because Iām very
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:45] animated. Stop being so stop being so animated.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:48] Iām gonna put my hands in my lap. Iām
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:49] You aināt gotta put your hands on your lap, but just stop hitting the,
J. Aundrea: [00:10:52] Iāll keep banging the table.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:53] oh,
J. Aundrea: [00:10:54] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:55] get worse in the second segment. Trust me.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:57] ācause you gonna be banging the table.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:59] Oh boy.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:59] Speaking of banging the table or just things making you irritated. You know how they always advertise, advertise these pots and pans and frying pans and stuff like that as non-stick. Easy to clean wonāt be tarnished.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:11] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:12] Yeah, thatās a lie because Iām gonna tell you right now, I didnāt, I made some pepper, I was saute and some peppers yesterday, just some peppers, you know what Iām saying?
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:19] Because I made me a, a steak and cheese sandwich, you know, it was still keto.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:24] heartburn again, but,
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:26] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It was all right though. I didnāt get myself some heartburn. You know,
J. Aundrea: [00:11:29] Good.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:30] my keto bread, I had my, uh, the keto chips and it was a good solid, uh, keto, uh, cheat esque meal, whatever.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:40] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:40] So Iām sauteing the peppers in the frying pan, which probably is my first mistake.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:44] I probably should have a, you know, something else I donāt know. But thatās what I got.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:47] would saute him in? Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:49] Okay. And Iām cooking the, the steak in the air fryer, right? And Iām gonna eventually add the peppers to the, to the steak in the air fryer. So as Iām sauteing the peppers, Iām like, Hmm, this is really damaging the pan, like itās burning my pan.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:04] ācause you want to get the peppers kind of burnt, but not burnt, burnt.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:07] Yeah, but that donāt mean you got to have an eye all the way up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:10] I didnāt have the eye all the way up. I had it like halfway
J. Aundrea: [00:12:14] Okay. Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:15] and I added some salt and pepper and some onion powder to it.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:19] Okay. Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:20] did not taste well. I donāt know what I need to do to add to it to make the peppers taste well. Uh, probably,
J. Aundrea: [00:12:25] honestly donāt think I add any season into my peppers.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:31] well it tasted, oh, okay. Maybe that was the problem. Then I added too much seasoning to the
J. Aundrea: [00:12:35] pepper is the, the pepperās, the spice.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:39] Yeah, no, but I needed some, something more with the kick. ācause the steak, I donāt think I, letās put it this way. I ate the sandwich and it was not like a real steak and cheese. I need like a skillet or something like that. Or with a old person in the back with a hair net on thatās sweating a little bit.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:55] ācause they just cook it better
J. Aundrea: [00:12:56] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:57] at a regular joint than mine. But, uh, my frying pan is just all black on the bottom now itās just fried and it was supposed to be one of them Gotham Steel type situations that never stain and, and it is a lie.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:09] Yeah, it, itās, itās a lie. Not because the manufacturers though, are being disingenuous. Itās a lie because theyāre assuming that people are gonna take care of their pants the way that they intend for people to take care of their pants. And that is to not burn the bottom of them, not put them in the dishwasher, wash them by hand. You gotta treat your pan. Donāt use metal utensils. A lot of people use metal utensils instead of like plastic utensils or, or, uh, whatās the, whatās the little like, uh, you know, sometimes the spatula, itās like a soft, itās not plastic, but soft material. I canāt think of what it is. But anyway, like, you know, people, they think that people are gonna care for the pan,
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:49] I do.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:49] it will la like it will hold up and it will last.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:52] But if you got that eye, I mean, what were you cooking? The, uh, the, like what oil were you using?
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:59] Oh, always extroversion olive oil. Always.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:02] that pan was just up too high.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:04] Oh yeah, man.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:05] just up too high.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:06] I had,
J. Aundrea: [00:14:07] eye was up too high. You
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:09] oh, well, I had to get them, I had to get them fried because.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:12] you cook āem longer, but that, that not, not hotter.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:18] Well, I was hungry. I was hungry and it was taking too long. Okay. So Iām like, lemme just turn
J. Aundrea: [00:14:22] Thatās why you never cook when youāre hungry. You donāt cook when youāre hungry
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:28] you it.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:28] because youāre gonna rush it. Yes. Because youāre hungry and you wanna eat. You cook when you know, okay, look, Iām gonna be hungry around noon, so let me get it started at 1130. Like, thatās when you cook, you cook before you get hungry
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:42] Well, I ruined it and then I got this another pan. Itās like a griddle pan, not a griddle pan. Itās a,
J. Aundrea: [00:14:48] grill pan.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:50] yeah, itās flat.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:51] Oh no. That is a griddle. Okay. Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:53] Yeah. So I have a griddle pan, but I did something to it and itās not even so, so it kind of like, it kind of like curls up a little bit. So like when I make my french toast, ācause Iām doing that after, after we film this today.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:07] Oh man, my keto french toast. You take keto bread, you take some heavy cream, some uh, vanilla extract, some cinnamon and some egg, right? And you mix that all.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:16] toast. Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:18] Shut up. Jay,
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:25] I canāt stand you.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:26] Thatās normal recipe.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:29] I didnāt tell you what else Iād do to it. Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:31] ahead.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:32] All right. And then I put the butter on the pan just
J. Aundrea: [00:15:37] Still following step by step. Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:40] then I cook the french toast, right? And then I just let it cool down a little bit. Just a little bit. And then I take some strawberry puree sugar free.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:49] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:50] I spread it on all of the French toast and then, and then shut up. Okay. Lemme finish my butter. And then I take, uh, the syrup with the butter. ācause I put syrup and butter and I heat it up and then I pour it over the bread.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:07] And then I put some whipped cream on it.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:08] yeah. I just want everybody to know out there, bread and sugar free strawberry puree does not make this a healthy meal. Like
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:18] Yes, it does.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:19] of fat and sugar.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:21] Well thatās what keto is. No, itās not. Not full of sugar. Itās not full of sugar.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:24] heavy cream in there. Cream. We got a bunch of butter and syrup.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:29] Yeah. I mean itās fat. Yeah. But thatās what keto is. You high fat,
J. Aundrea: [00:16:32] okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:33] high fat diet, low sugar. Thatās what itās,
J. Aundrea: [00:16:37] feel thatās helpful like that?
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:40] where your body, first of all, your body needs fat.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:43] Yes. Your
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:43] Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:44] of it? Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:45] your body needs fat. So what is essentially happening on keto is youāre reducing your sugar intake, which is actually one of the reasons why people gain so much weight. Youāre reducing the sugar intake and your metabolism is gonna feed off of the fat that youāre feeding it
J. Aundrea: [00:17:00] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:01] and itās gonna stop it from feeding off of the muscle in your body.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:04] So itās just the added fat in in your body and itās feeding off of it. Thatās how that works. When I lost all that weight,
J. Aundrea: [00:17:10] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:11] doesnāt work for everybody. Itās not for everybody. But I know for me itās the perfect diet. You know, I drink,
J. Aundrea: [00:17:19] really consume a lot of sugar, but I do consume a lot of fat, and so, well, not anymore, but like I, me, a high fat, low sugar diet is my, is my regular diet. That was my old diet
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:29] you think youāre not cons, you think youāre not consuming a lot of sugar. But when you break it down and you look at the nutrition facts on the box, whenever it says, you know, whenever itās high and complex, carbohydrates. Itās a lot of sugar in there.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:45] Yeah. But
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:46] a lot of sugar.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:47] I look at added sugar,
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:49] Yeah. Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:50] at.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:50] Yeah. Iām know, but just now look at, yeah, thatās deceptive.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:54] Donāt, the added sugar shouldnāt be No added sugar.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:57] Right, thatās what Iām saying.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:58] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:59] I get is zero sugar and that what theyāre saying is not that thereās no sugar in it, but that thereās no added sugar in it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:04] Yeah. Well, no. Yeah, no. If it says zero sugar, itās supposed to be zero sugar or sugar free
J. Aundrea: [00:18:11] thereās gonna be sugar in it. Like if thereās
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:13] sweetener.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:14] sugar or sweetener or something. Thereās gonna be
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:16] Yes. Itās sweetener is not a sugar. A sweetener is not sugar.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:20] even if you just eating fruit, thatās still sugar. Thereās no added sugar, but thereās sugar in it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:25] Oh yeah. Thereās absolutely sugar and some fruit. Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:28] Thereās sugar, no added sugar.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:31] I just feel like we saying a lot of sugar. Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:34] I donāt wanna say the word sugar anymore.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:37] Iām done with.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:38] speaking, speaking of which, I canāt eat again. Yāall know, last week I had stomach flu or something.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:44] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:45] what it was. It was horrible. But, uh, I am feeling much better now. Thank you for everybody that reached out.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:51] I appreciate that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:53] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:53] Well I knew you was okay ācause you star, you was meme bombing me this week. I knew that you was on spring break and you was okay. ācause matter of fact, yesterday I got mad and threw my phone down. ācause you sent me, you sent so many
J. Aundrea: [00:19:06] and
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:06] in like a two minute stretch.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:07] yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:08] I was like, thereās no way. These are reals.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:10] Like just gimme a second to watch around before you send the new one.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:14] thing is, Iām going through them because I hadnāt been on my phone. When Iām sick, everything stops. So I hadnāt been on my phone, hadnāt been on social media, hadnāt been nowhere. ācause I donāt feel good, I donāt feel good. I donāt wanna see nothing or hear nothing. So Iām catching up on all the funny things that have happened in the week that Iāve been sick.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:31] And so I was like, Hmm, weāre about to get meme bombed. ā cause Iām about to send him all these reels. ācause to me theyāre all funny or interesting or something like that. And plus you never know where a show idea come from, so Iād just be sending you stuff.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:46] Actually, you gave me a show idea from, uh, itās gonna be in the third segment from what you sent me, but speaking of being sick, Iām sick and tired of this administration,
J. Aundrea: [00:19:56] Boy.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:57] and Iām gonna tell you why. Next,
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:06] all right, Jay, you know who Jackie Robinson is?
J. Aundrea: [00:20:09] Yes, of course. 44.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:11] yeah. 44. Uh, great movie done by Chadwick Bozeman.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:15] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:16] the first black man to be in major League baseball World War ii. Hero had his own webpage on the DOD website until recently. On March 19th, 2025, A DOD webpage about Jackie Robbins World War ii. Military service was temporarily removed, displaying a 4 0 4 era with DEI appended it to the URL.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:45] It was restored later that day. After media backlash, the page highlighted Robinsonās army service from 1942 to 1944, including his court martial for refusing segregation on a bus, his honorable discharge and his post-military baseball career, breaking the major league baseballās color barrier. Um, like I said, the page was inaccessible in the morning and the afternoon it was restored after media reports from ESPN and the AP News and the New York Times.
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:15] The Pentagon later called it a mistake, but affirmed anti DEI policies, Jay, they even came up with a new name for DEI. They call it discriminatory equity. Ideology. Thatās, thatās what they call DEI. Now, um, this is all a part of the administrationās process to get rid of DEI from everything. And that means removing things that have to do with race or, uh, gay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:47] Gay is one of the buzzwords. Thereās u theyāre using AI to scrub things, and theyāre saying, because the AI will make some mistakes that they were, that this was done in era, but that it is still being done to scrub DEI, basically from the world.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:03] Yeah, well,
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:04] From the world.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:05] the world, uh, just the, just the US is, is, uh, got this concerted effort against nothing, honestly. Itās a made up thing. yeah. So if you are wondering, um, what is the, the point of attacking diversity, equity, and inclusion? itās the erasure of blackness and black people.
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:30] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:30] Um, because if you could just, just take it on his face.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:34] Jackie Robinson was, uh, celebrity, And, uh, made great contributions during the war. So he had a page, it didnāt, his blackness is secondary to that. Like itās not that that was, it was important of course, at the time because he was a black man, uh, you know, integrating major league baseball and things like that.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:56] But, but what was important was, was the story was what was important. Um, but they see blackness, right, theyāre inherent in their minds is this person is only here because theyāre black,
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:13] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:23:14] because they actually contributed something of worth and of merit. And the, and the, and the thing that I see floating around that is very true is if you think by removing diversity, equity, inclusion that youāre making now youāre making the playing field equal, then the people who needed the leg up might not have been us.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:39] Mm mm Jesse Jackson said something one time, and Iām paraphrasing, he was asked a question, um, by a news reporter. This had to be in the eighties, seventies, or eighties or something like that. Um, and he was asked the question of why is it that black people in athletics excel so well? Is it something thatās in our DNA or predetermined in us or physicality or, or anything like that?
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:06] And he said.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:07] we just more athletic
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:08] Are we just more athletic somehow? And he is just like, no, this is, thatās the only place where the rules are set in stone
J. Aundrea: [00:24:16] And theyāre public.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:18] and theyāre public. So everybody, thatās the truest form of meritocracy, so.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:24] the court, everybody has the same number of minutes in that quarter to get it done, and they all have to follow the same rules and everybody knows the rules. And thereās an official on the court
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:35] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:36] the rules that everybody knows.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:38] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:40] It is equal.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:41] It is, it is, it is equal. And we excel.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:44] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:45] Why is it that when we are given a chance, if, if the foot is removed from our neck? Uh, just a little bit. Just a little bit. We excel after slavery, when we were freed, there are thriving towns, black towns, all over. I just learned, I just learned this. This year in 2025, we are in March.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:10] I just learned this within the last six, eight weeks that the Pentagon, where I live, not more than three miles away from that, the Pentagon is built on land that was a thriving black town
J. Aundrea: [00:25:26] I did not know that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:27] that I just found this out, that Arlington, Virginia, that land was confiscated by imminent domain and it was a, before that it was a thriving black town that had its own schools and churches and shops and stores.
J. Aundrea: [00:25:42] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:43] And there are numerous cases throughout this country where just the foot off our neck a little bit, the neck, the foot is still on the neck, but the pressure just aināt as tight. We excel. Why is it, why is it that within 40 years, within 40 years of the civil rights movement, we get a black president?
J. Aundrea: [00:26:05] Yeah. I, Iāll tell you why. Um, because weāre just as good as everybody else. And the re and the thing is, they know that because if you really believed that enslaved people were not capable of living outside of enslavement, that they needed enslavement ācause they couldnāt do anything on their own, they canāt read, they canāt write, they canāt do anything. are you making laws to prohibit us from reading and writing?
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:34] Hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:26:34] are so unclean, unkempt, all these things, why are we cleaning your homes and taking care of your children? If weāre degenerates, why are we caring for your children?
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:46] Why are we raising your children?
J. Aundrea: [00:26:49] your children? Why are we taking care of every facet of your life? If we canāt, if we donāt do, because they know exactly who we are and what weāre capable of. And theyāve always known, and this is the point of all of this, they have to keep the foot on our neck. They have to, if theyāre going to maintain power.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:12] Or white supremacy and I, and I wanna examine that word, supreme supremacy. Supreme is supposed to be the best, correct?
J. Aundrea: [00:27:24] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:25] Okay. If you are the best, if you are adhering to the fact that you are supreme, why do you need to make laws and rules to hold other people back? If the cream rises to the top,
J. Aundrea: [00:27:40] right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:41] you donāt need to do that.
J. Aundrea: [00:27:43] Exactly.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:43] historically, there have been so many. Laws, ladies and gentlemen laws. Look, I have a bank account with Navy Federal Credit Union.
J. Aundrea: [00:27:52] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:52] It just came out two or three years ago that Navy Federal Credit Union was discriminating against black people for mortgage loans.
J. Aundrea: [00:28:00] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:01] This was happening in 2020,
J. Aundrea: [00:28:05] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:06] and this is a major institution in, in Navy Federal Credit Union thatās depriving people from finding a home that they can afford.
J. Aundrea: [00:28:16] what you have to understand about Navy Federal is this is you. You have to, it is exclusive membership. First of all. Not everybody can just join Navy Federal, and itās a credit union, which means the people who invest in this bank are the ones that own the bank.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:33] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:28:34] And so youāre telling me I got all my money and everything with you guys. Iām putting money into your business. This is a credit union. Okay. Iām one of the owners. ācause Iām a, Iām in this union and I am still being discriminated against in the 2020s.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:50] In 2020s. Thatās crazy.
J. Aundrea: [00:28:54] nuts.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:55] is crazy. Letās not even talk about, letās not even talk about, and Iām not blaming them. Okay. Iām not blaming them, but letās not even talk about the, the programs that were instituted for a lot of Koreans who were immigrating to this country to be able to get storefronts and black neighborhoods and loans to open up storefronts and black neighborhoods that black people were not allowed to.
J. Aundrea: [00:29:23] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:23] Have loans and open up storefronts. I mean, this is the reason why you see so many Asian Americans, uh, in the black community, because there was a program specifically designated for Asian Americans that were immigrating to this country. I guess they werenāt American yet, but Asians and immigrating to this country
J. Aundrea: [00:29:40] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:41] get loans and get storefronts in order to start businesses that were being deprived by, from black people in their own community.
J. Aundrea: [00:29:50] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:51] This was a legal thing.
J. Aundrea: [00:29:53] would be the reason to deny GI is the GI Bill?
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:00] Thatās another thing that doesnāt get talked about
J. Aundrea: [00:30:02] would be the reason for that?
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:04] that thatās another thing that doesnāt get talked about. You know, when we talk about veteran services
J. Aundrea: [00:30:08] middle class. We donāt want a black middle class.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:10] mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:30:11] thatās what they didnāt want. That was the point of that. Certainly donāt want a black upper class. Certainly donāt want black people building generational wealth.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:21] And I just find it funny, you know, they took the word woke and when I say they realize Iām not talking about all, uh, all white people. Iām not doing that. And Iām not talking about only white people because there is some self-hating black people out there Thatās right along the ride, right along with these white supremacists.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:39] So look, this, it is a racial issue. It is absolutely a racial issue, but Iām not attacking all white folks at all.
J. Aundrea: [00:30:47] yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:48] Uh, ācause we have, we have historically had white allies, especially in the Jewish community during the Civil rights movement. So Iām not attacking white people, Iām attacking white supremacists very specific.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:00] And white supremacists can also be black, unfortunately. The self, the self-hating ones. And I, I, Iām looking at this and, um, Iām saying to myself always taking something that we, we have that means something to us.
J. Aundrea: [00:31:17] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:17] people to uplift us and taking it and reversing it.
J. Aundrea: [00:31:21] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:22] you know, I, if I hear one more person use the term woke in a negative situation, I might grab him by the throat and slam him against the wall because thatās not the, just because you wanna take the word and create a negative connotation to it, doesnāt mean that that has a negative connotation to it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:38] And now theyāre taking diversity, equity, and inclusion.
J. Aundrea: [00:31:42] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:42] was a, this was a press release from not only the secretary of, I think it was Secretary of State, but also head of the DOD that has said that now, DEI from there is a new catchphrase for them. DEI stands for Discriminatory Equity Ideology, first of all, doesnāt make any sense.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:05] doesnāt make sense. You canāt, you canāt offer discriminatory equity.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:11] Donāt, I donāt, I donāt know.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:14] That doesnāt make
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:15] Like it doesnāt make sense at all.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:19] make sense. It
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:20] Yeah. It just needs to be a buzzword. Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:22] It just has to be catchy. It doesnāt have to make sense because you canāt offer, literally, equity means the quality of being fair and impartial, so it literally canāt be discriminatory.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:36] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:36] It makes zero sense, but it doesnāt have to.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:39] Itās just catchy.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:40] And what you said about woke being used with a negative connotation, what you have to understand white supremacist, it is a negative connotation because the last thing they want is for people to be conscious.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:53] Mm.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:54] The last thing that they want is for people to recognize the true agenda is and whatās really going on.
J. Aundrea: [00:33:03] They want people to watch, watch the shiny ball while we do our shady stuff over here. Thatās what they want. They donāt want you to be awake being woke the eyes of white supremacy. It is a negative.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:17] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:33:18] is the last thing they want. This is why they didnāt want you reading. They donāt want you to be conscious. They donāt want their workplaces diverse. They donāt want their workplaces equitable. They donāt want their workplaces inclusive. They want āem white. Thatās what they
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:41] specifically, theyāre white because this is, this is what I will say about white supremacy and a lot of white people are starting to to be awakened by what this administration is doing because they were sold a bill of goods that they were gonna be taken away from others. And now. What the administration is actually doing is taking away a lot of things from their base,
J. Aundrea: [00:34:03] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:03] and youāre seeing some backlash and youāre seeing these town halls where these Republicans are having these town halls and people are upset and, and you get, you get on the talking news sites and Republicans are saying, oh, this was all a, George Soros backed their Democrats.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:20] It, it, it, itās always something else. Right? Itās
J. Aundrea: [00:34:23] else and
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:23] itās always something. Itās always somebody else or something else.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:26] their poor decision making.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:28] And I think like the backlash specifically from Jackie Robinson was strong and forceful because this is another example of them disrespecting a veteran.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:40] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:41] Somebody who fought
J. Aundrea: [00:34:42] care.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:43] well, they donāt care.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:45] They donāt care.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:46] People do care. Like even people who may be against DEI were like, well, wait a minute. Thatās not right. Right. Like even people who were against DEI are like, well, wait a minute. Hold up, hold up, hold up. Thatās not right.
J. Aundrea: [00:35:00] correct.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:00] And that, thatās the reason why there was backlash. And then they thought that they could just do this because they thinking that, Hey, we are running on this DEI thing.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:10] We got people, the loudest people are typically the weakest and the smallest group, but theyāre loud and theyāre like, we got strong backing from a lot of people who are supporting us. Letās take that on that Jackie Robinson page. Letās see how far we can go. And this administration is pushing the limit on everything.
J. Aundrea: [00:35:27] yeah. Uh, they just, they just repealed that in federal contracts, itās no longer illegal to offer segregated facilities.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:36] Well, you know, I.
J. Aundrea: [00:35:37] I mean, obviously itās, itās symbolic, but the symbolisms not great guys.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:44] I, I was, Iāve been watching this. Itās the Boston Celtics documentary on Max, I believe itās on Max. And, and it is being done by Bill Simmons. I used to be a huge fan of Be Simmons. Heās also the guy behind the 30 for 30 documentary. He is just a good documentary. He is from Boston. Theyāre talking about the history of Boston more specifically to Boston Celtics.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:05] And Boston has this reputation of being a racist town. Iāve been to Boston one time.
J. Aundrea: [00:36:12] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:13] Uh, I was on the outskirts of Boston, was taken to this bar where I was the only black person and I was like, this donāt feel good to me. And I was treated, I donāt know what they said behind my back, but they aināt say nothing to my face.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:25] Now granted, Iām also, you know. A large human being, but I was treated fairly, fairly decently in Boston. But Boston absolutely has a history of racism. And in this documentary, they were talking about the conflict that a lot of the black players had in the sixties and seventies while the race rides were going out.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:44] And why were they having race rides in the seventies? ācause they wanted to integrate the schools in the seventies. And, and theyāre like, why donāt they go to their own schools because itās not equal. And whatās the big deal of going to the same school? Why is it that you hate black people so much that you donāt even want to share a pool with them like that?
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:03] You heard about the cement in the pool and the, and the, for those that donāt know, once a segregation was over and integration was introduced. A lot of people, a lot of pools in the south, public pools decided that they were going to fill the pools up with cement so that they wouldnāt have to share pools with black people.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:22] And then went and started country clubs, which was a socioeconomic economic issue because poor white folks was right there with them filling up the cement, but they didnāt have the money to get into these country clubs, so they would take away from themselves just to make sure that you didnāt have anything,
J. Aundrea: [00:37:38] Which again, serving wealth, right?
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:41] right?
J. Aundrea: [00:37:42] it is serving wealth again, and itās the same thing that theyāre doing by voting for Trump.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:47] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:48] you are acting in the service of wealth
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:51] Yes.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:51] youāre getting no benefit. In fact, heās actually taking things away from you
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:58] Yes.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:58] and the serve because the wealth is about accumulation. So even the little things that you got, they want and you are acting in service of them. Just like when yāall with overseers, you still doing the same thing over and over and you still donāt have anything from the, from that time to now, yāall still poor.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:19] Mm mm
J. Aundrea: [00:38:23] Yāall are still poor.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:26] mm
J. Aundrea: [00:38:26] time to now, yāall still donāt have nothing. Like, does anybody ever stop and think about that? Man, we have been in service of this party of the Republican party and the service of wealth and white supremacy, and itās been in a hundred years. We still poor
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:46] Well, I I, I got in an argument with somebody earlier this week and it was like, well, do weāre Democrats? And I was like, oh,
J. Aundrea: [00:38:54] again,
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:54] yes, there was a switch during the civil rights movement.
J. Aundrea: [00:38:58] that America the definition of things
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:03] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:04] to
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:04] Yes.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:04] own interests.
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:05] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:06] So please stop playing that game.
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:09] They not gonna stop.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:10] Please
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:10] gonna,
J. Aundrea: [00:39:11] that
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:11] they gonna play it.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:12] America changes the definition of things, whether itās race, gender, sexuality, doesnāt matter. America changes the definition of things constantly to serve its own interests.
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:24] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:25] It even changes the definition of whiteness constantly to
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:28] Oh yeah. Oh, the definition of whiteness has expanded. ācause it, it, it used to be like,
J. Aundrea: [00:39:36] Very contracted, very
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:37] yeah, Italians werenāt white.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:40] The Irish werenāt white.
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:42] Uh,
J. Aundrea: [00:39:44] They werenāt, they
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:45] they, they, they werenāt, they? No, they werenāt in a, there was actually anti-air signs at a certain point. Yes. So, but well look, uh, you know, you had Conor McGregor to come to the White House and say something.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:00] The White House sure does. Like, um, positioning rapists in positions of power, donāt they?
J. Aundrea: [00:40:05] Well,
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:06] speaking
J. Aundrea: [00:40:07] they canāt help that because when, uh, you are based in Degeneracy, the leader of your party is, is a sexual offender.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:22] multiple times.
J. Aundrea: [00:40:23] Multiple times, you canāt help but end up surrounding just the, like, attracts like, so thatās why that is the way itās
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:37] I do see something, and I know a lot of people arenāt gonna see it. They, a lot of people canāt see it because theyāre angry and theyāre being overwhelmed by negative news of what this administration is doing. But I do see a tide turning. I donāt know when itās gonna happen.
J. Aundrea: [00:40:55] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:55] I donāt know when itās gonna happen.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:56] I donāt know how long itās gonna take. It could be short. It could, it could be long. But I do see a tide turning. People are saying the country is going back and yes and no because thereās more people who are different
J. Aundrea: [00:41:07] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:08] than, letās say the fifties or the sixties, right? There are less of these straight arrow white people that have anti DEI, racist ideology.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:18] Thereās less of them now
J. Aundrea: [00:41:20] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:21] collectively as a percentage than there was back then.
J. Aundrea: [00:41:25] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:25] And there are more people who are more conscious,
J. Aundrea: [00:41:28] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:28] specifically to about white people, but just. Everybody because they just came out, I forgot what the actual numbers were, but the Trump administration just made, um, just took away legal status for a bunch of Venezuelans, Cubans and Nicaraguans and,
J. Aundrea: [00:41:49] please donāt. Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:50] and Haitians.
J. Aundrea: [00:41:51] Haitians are always lumped in there as well, so.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:53] And they just took away legal status for all these people and a lot, but I was focusing mainly on the Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguan, but Gas Haitians as well. But specifically for those three groups, voted heavily for the Republican party heavily. And now theyāre starting to be like, well, wait a minute, hold on.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:09] We was talking about them others. ācause even, even in their own groups, even in, even in own ec uh, racial groups, there are power dynamics and social economic, it dy whatās the words Iām looking for?
J. Aundrea: [00:42:25] Right, because I mean, the same,
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:27] Well, no, not right. ācause I didnāt say the word. Whatās, whatās the word Iām looking for?
J. Aundrea: [00:42:30] I get what you mean.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:31] But
J. Aundrea: [00:42:31] thereās
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:31] the audience.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:32] Thank you. Thank you H Thank you. You know I was gonna get,
J. Aundrea: [00:42:35] but I mean, this was the same thing. Uh, uh, people treat the Latino community. Latino just means that you are from Latin America,
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:43] mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:43] but just know itās white, black, indigenous.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:47] Yep.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:48] Thatās whatās down there.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:49] Okay. So when you come to America and itās no longer about your nationality, right? Itās no longer, oh, Iām Colombian. Oh, Iām Nicaragua. No, I, Iām from El Salvador. Like, itās not, itās less about that and more about your race, because thatās what America is. Youāre gonna identify with the, with the. Race that you are closely, youāre more closely tied to.
J. Aundrea: [00:43:10] So you got a lot of Latinos, white Latinos that come up here, identify with whiteness, vote with whiteness, and forget that they are not included in the definition of what white is in America.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:25] Yes. And
J. Aundrea: [00:43:27] ācause again, that
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:28] what the point Iām.
J. Aundrea: [00:43:28] changes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:29] The definition changes and, but the point Iām trying to make is I see a shift. Iām looking at it, Iām seeing it. This administration is ing on a lot of their constituency, a lot of their base. And these people are starting to be like, wait a minute. It wasnāt supposed to happen to us.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:46] Itās supposed to happen to them. And the administration canāt change certain rules where it wonāt be affected. If theyāre trying to affect a certain group of people
J. Aundrea: [00:43:55] yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:56] and they change rules, itās going to affect other groups of people that are part of their base, whether they wanted to or not. It, it, it, it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:04] ācause youāre doing these broad, generalized
J. Aundrea: [00:44:06] If
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:06] kind of
J. Aundrea: [00:44:07] away social programs from black and brown people, youāre taking them away from white people as well.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:11] Right. And people who identify as white, even though they technically. Might not be white, as white is identified in America. So Iām seeing, I see a shift. I see a shift. I see it happening. I donāt know when itās gonna be, I donāt know when itās gonna happen, but thereās gonna be a groundswell. And if youāre a historian, you always see when the power full go for power grabs, even when they were in the favor of the people.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:39] When they consider consistently go for more and more power, the people will turn against them. Itās happened throughout history since the beginning of time. Thatās how empires have crumbled.
J. Aundrea: [00:44:50] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:50] So they wanna destroy themselves. Let destroy themselves. Thatās what Iāve been about this whole time. Let āem, theyāre doing it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:57] Theyāre doing the work for us. We just need to bring attention to it. Shine light on how their actions is affecting people that actually voted for them.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:06] Yeah, but the fact of the matter is black people aināt going nowhere.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:09] Yeah, no, we going. We, we gonna be here, we gonna stay here. And guess what? Just because yāall stressed out about whatās going on, we aināt gonna be stressed out because like I said, weāve been here before.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:20] Bla, black people are embracing joy and community and self care and healing and thatās what weāre doing right now. So all of yāall that try to rage bait us, especially you trying to rage, bait black women into getting on the front lines and organizing and getting stuff together. No, we gave you a candidate,
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:40] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:41] we gave you the most qualified candidate in the history of anybody whoās ever run for president in this country.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:46] I donāt care. Thatās, thatās being a little hyperbolic.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:48] no, is it?
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:50] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:50] about it. She served in every level, in every branch of government.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:56] I, I, I get it. But I mean, thereās also, I mean, she didnāt have more political standing than my man, Lyndon Baines Johnson. Okay. That, well, you just, okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:04] just
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:05] I,
J. Aundrea: [00:46:05] Banks Johnson. And
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:06] I do love him.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:07] I get it. I donāt dislike Linda Banks Johnson.
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:11] Even though somebody brought it to my attention the other day, they was like, you know, you used to say the N word all the time. And I said, you know what? Sometimes you gotta say it.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:17] No, absolutely not. not. No. So,
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:26] he done did for us. I said, Iām gonna give a pass on that way.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:31] unacceptable. No unacceptable.
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:35] Alright Jay, letās wrap this up ācause I want to get to some more laughter.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:39] I think weāve been laughing this whole damn time, but all
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:42] Yeah, we have, we have you have any more final thoughts on this at all? You said, you said a lot.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:47] mean, I said it, I think I said all, all I can say about about DEI is about the erasure of blackness. From, from everything. Our contributions, our, our, our importance. Everything is about the erasure of blackness. And thatās it. Thatās it. And thereās, thereās nothing else to that whatsoever. Everybody else is catching strays, right?
J. Aundrea: [00:47:10] Because DEI just protect black people, it protects all people of color. And it also makes, uh, uh, a fair and inclusive, uh, workplace or society or whatever for people of different, uh, gender identities. Sexual identities is there for women too. Women are feeling the sting. White women. You gonna feel the sting too? Uh, physical
Bruce Anthony: [00:47:36] of art of DEI, part of DEI is building ramps for people that use wheelchairs.
J. Aundrea: [00:47:42] yes. A DA accommodations, all of the, it is because it is coming for everybody. So this is, yeah, itās, itās, itās, itās, itās erasing us, but itās gonna have far reaching impacts because, um, any, any win for, again, the most vulnerable in the community is a win for everybody.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:08] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:09] ācause if the most vulnerable people are able to do well, it, it trickles up.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:15] Nothing ever trickles down.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:17] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:17] It goes up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:18] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:19] Okay. So if youāre protecting, I say this all the time, youāre protecting the most vulnerable in your community. Youāre serving everyone.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:26] Hmm. Well, speaking of most vulnerable
J. Aundrea: [00:48:31] Oh boy.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:32] and speaking of food, we werenāt speaking of food, but now, uh, but Iām hungry. My stomach is, my stomach is growling. And, uh, we was talking about my French toast earlier, but speaking of food
J. Aundrea: [00:48:43] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:44] the most vulnerable, you know, when Iām the most vulnerable.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:48] I donāt wanna know, but go ahead and tell me anyway.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:51] Iām, Iām the most vulnerable, especially with my money in the strip club.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:57] I knew didnāt wanna, I knew I didnāt
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:01] Yeah. But speaking of strip clubs. Strip clubs, got some good food. We gonna get into that next.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:13] All right, Jay, you sent me a Instagram reel of this woman doing her own Keith Lee situation of food in Atlanta strip clubs. And I must admit, as I was watching it, I was like, that food looks delicious.
J. Aundrea: [00:49:32] Historically, the food in Atlanta Strip Club, I donāt know if itās like this everywhere. I. Uh, but the food in ama, in Atlanta, strip clubs is top tier. A lot of people go our area strip clubs to eat. I mean, you see, you get to see dancing and stuff, so you get, you know, you get a show as well, but a lot of them like, look, theyāre lamb chops at KOD and they $5. Like, you wanna hit, you wanna hit up, kick it down, like, whatās up?
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:04] Look, there is a scene from Parks and Rec where theyāre at a strip club and, uh, Ron Swanson, whoās one of my favorite characters on the show, uh, says, I donāt have any desire for these women in here. I go for the strong silent type, your Sheryl Swoopes, your Serena Williamsā of the world, but Iāll never turn down a breakfast buffet.
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:25] And heās just grubbing on the breakfast buffet because the food is delicious. Now I have, itās not a strip club, itās like a, itās a strip club, but it, they donāt get completely nude. They have pasties on. And they just donāt. And they donāt take the bottoms off and itās right down the road for me. Uh, and I used to go there every Monday when I lived across the street.
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:52] I used to love that place because the food there is phenomenal and itās attached to another sports bar. And you would say, well, the food would be the same because theyāre attached to a sports bar thatās right up, up less than a block away. And itās like, no, they leave. I spoke to the owner one time, heās like, no, the strip club gets the best cuts of meat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:13] The best quality from all of our, from all of our food intake. The strip club gets the best and then we leave it at the restaurant. I was like, that doesnāt make any sense. It seems like you would give the restaurant the best food. Itās like people gonna come to the restaurant regardless. We come to the strip club, you going to eat and drink and spend money.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:28] Now you live right around the corner from strip club that I have been talking about going to for the longest.
J. Aundrea: [00:51:34] know why you just wonāt go.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:36] Well, Iām gonna go now more specifically because it was featured in this Instagram reel that you sent to me. And so I need to go for a food. So thatās the excuse that Iām going use, but Iām also going for the women.
J. Aundrea: [00:51:49] Yes. Uh, I live, I live, donāt live too far from, uh, the blue flame. And, and Iām looking at their menu right now. And boy, they, I, I look you, you, you want a happy hour? $7 Hennessy. Huh?
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:07] What though?
J. Aundrea: [00:52:08] Casa Amigo. Reposado,
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:10] Are you kidding me? Oh, okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:12] Ciroc, all flavors.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:14] You kidding me? Thatās the happy hour.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:17] Happy Hour from one to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:20] Happy hours donāt last at 8:00 PM and they donāt start at no one. And if you say Monday through Friday, thatās a lunch. Happy hour
J. Aundrea: [00:52:28] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:30] look. Okay. I think Iām coming down, I think Iām gonna come down next month or may.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:35] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:37] ācause itās, itās time for my quarterly visit down to Atlanta and Iām going to Blue Flame
J. Aundrea: [00:52:41] Go.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:42] going report back what the food is.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:44] Beautiful girls. Uh, lovely experience. I went one time. Okay. And good food
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:56] But I, some people it sound like great strip $7 Hennessy, thatās dangerous. Um, but a lot of people are going to be like, Ooh, food in strip club. Now, me being the germophobic person that I am,
J. Aundrea: [00:53:09] naked.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:10] right,
J. Aundrea: [00:53:12] They also have to abide by like the uh, department of Health. And a lot of these strip clubs have a ratings.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:21] they had, you have to have an A rating Look, if a, if a strip club got a C or D rating.
J. Aundrea: [00:53:27] thatās bad.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:29] Alright, letās, letās, I, Iām gonna tell a story One time, me and one of my boys went to this strip club in southeast DC and there was two right across from one another. It was one that was Hood and there was one that was Nexus Gold.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:46] So Nexus Gold was a chain. Uh, I donāt know what happened to Nexus Gold, but it was very hairy Belafonte,
J. Aundrea: [00:53:52] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:52] right? So we went to the hood one first we saw C-sections and gunshot wounds, but the food looked like it was slamming. So we got some wings and then we tailed outta there and went to Nexus Gold next, where we were ordering $20 shots
J. Aundrea: [00:54:08] yeah. Thatās ridiculous.
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:10] at, at.
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:11] And we, I think we spent like $250 for a take. I spent so much money at that place and we didnāt, we didnāt get the food there ācause we had just ate it at the hood spot. We was like, man, them wings there. I wonder if they give wings to go.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:25] I mean, I donāt know. I donāt know. I canāt tell you, but all I know is Atlanta area strip clubs, delicious cuisine, top tier, like, I think you can get like a gold leaf wrapped lobster roll for like, itās, itās a hundred dollars, but itās like Main lobster wrapped in gold leaf at, at King of Diamonds.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:52] Like,
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:53] Jesus.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:53] itās, itās insane the quality of the food at Atlanta strip clubs.
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:59] do, do major chefs cook at these strip clubs? Like, I mean, I like what? Why is the food so good?
J. Aundrea: [00:55:07] You look it. I donāt know. I donāt know why they invested so much, um, in, in the, in the cuisine quality. I donāt know. Uh, but I get a lot of business people just coming to eat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:24] It was a lot of people in these reels. It was a lot of people wasnāt paying no attention to the girls was just steady on that food eating.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:33] yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:34] And now you told me right down the street from you, I can walk there now. Iām not gonna walk there. Iām not gonna walk there.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:40] Yes,
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:41] walk there, but Iām not going to walk there.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:43] Uh,
J. Aundrea: [00:55:43] sidewalk.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:44] yeah, no, itās, itās a little dangerous. Itās a little dangerous.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:47] No sidewalk.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:48] but, but the fact that they got it, I donāt drink Hennessy. I do think Hennessy is tasty. Funny story. I was out, I canāt remember, I canāt remember who I was with, but I was with a, uh, I know she was white.
J. Aundrea: [00:56:04] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:05] Uh, a female friend of mine that was white and I was out with a group of her friends.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:10] I think I was, I think I was out celebrating her birthday. I know exactly who it is. I was out celebrating her birthday with her friends. Um, and thatās the only reason why I was out. ācause it was her birthday. Because I donāt like being in white spaces a whole lot. But, uh, so the person was like, Hey, you guys want a shot?
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:27] And I was like, yeah, Iāll take a shot. And he bought us a shot, a Hennessy,
J. Aundrea: [00:56:32] yeah, yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:33] I was like, I donāt drink Hennessy. I know itās, you know, most black people drink Hennessy. I think the, the biggest consumer of Hennessy is black folks.
J. Aundrea: [00:56:45] probably us for
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:46] Yeah. But I donāt drink Hennessy. And I looked at my friend and I was like, your friend is racist as hell.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:51] ācause this is a stereotype. I drink tequila.
J. Aundrea: [00:56:54] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:55] she, and she was like, well he got me one too. And I was like, yeah, he probably got you one. ācause you with me thinking that because you with me that you drink Hennessy. Do you drink Hennessy? No, Iāve never had Hennessy before. I was like, I have, letās just take this shot.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:07] And we took the shot and we was like, damn, this is TAs hell.
J. Aundrea: [00:57:12] Yeah, no, Hennessy is very good. There is, uh, there is a, like a seafood spot near me that makes a, a strawberry Hennessy margarita. And when I tell you it is the tastiest thing and those things get you messed up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:32] I just want to point out that as many times as Iāve been to Atlanta, and it was four times
J. Aundrea: [00:57:38] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:39] year alone, okay? Not once have you taken me to any of these places, okay?
J. Aundrea: [00:57:44] sorry because hereās the thing I didnāt, I know you for liking chicken tenders.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:51] I, I do.
J. Aundrea: [00:57:51] Okay. So when
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:53] And chicken wings.
J. Aundrea: [00:57:54] yeah, so when Iām like, oh, my favorite Korean barbecue spot, Bruce probably is not gonna like that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:00] Now I want to go to that Korean barbecue spot.
J. Aundrea: [00:58:03] a heaven on earth. Uh, itās all you can eat is delicious. Itās, itās a heaven on the drinks. So good. So good there like, yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:13] weāve established, I donāt like dinner. I
J. Aundrea: [00:58:16] You donāt
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:16] donāt wanna, I donāt wanna go out for dinner. Yeah. But we can go for lunch. But all these places youāre like here. This place in Atlanta, this place in, and I know as my best friend has said that Iām a chicken finger eating bitch. I know that. Okay. But I do like food.
J. Aundrea: [00:58:31] Okay. All right. Well then Iāll take you some of my favorite spots and we get some good drinks and some good food then, and
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:37] You know, I liked,
J. Aundrea: [00:58:38] go early in the day. We wonāt do dinner.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:40] well, I mean, we could even do dinner if we look, Iām weird. Iām weird. I know. This is weird about me. If I could go for dinner and sit at the bar. Thatās okay. Itās something about that table. I donāt know what it is. I probably need some therapy to dig down deeper, find out what that trauma is.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:58] Thatās, thatās,
J. Aundrea: [00:58:58] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:59] I, I donāt know what that is, but, but, uh, I have no problem going to the strip clubs and eating at, uh, nine oāclock at night, though. Thatās a, thatās a different environment because you know what, itās a party. Itās not stuffy.
J. Aundrea: [00:59:08] well maybe, maybe you would like the Korean barbecue. ācause itās not, youāre not just sitting down and theyāre handing you like, youāre act like youāre actively,
Bruce Anthony: [00:59:17] Oh no. Been,
J. Aundrea: [00:59:18] doing stuff and
Bruce Anthony: [00:59:19] well I donāt wanna cook my own food now.
J. Aundrea: [00:59:20] usually the servers doing most of
Bruce Anthony: [00:59:24] Yeah, I
J. Aundrea: [00:59:25] you can help, like, I like to do it
Bruce Anthony: [00:59:28] uhhuh,
J. Aundrea: [00:59:28] like, Hmm, this pork belly is cooking up real nice.

Bruce Anthony: [01:00:01] He, he is not a fan of strip clubs, but maybe if we could convince him
J. Aundrea: [01:00:04] if we
Bruce Anthony: [01:00:04] for the food,
J. Aundrea: [01:00:05] tour
Bruce Anthony: [01:00:06] a food tour that he would join along with us.
J. Aundrea: [01:00:09] Yeah. And letās, letās see, for ourselves, do, is it worth the hype?
Bruce Anthony: [01:00:16] we should do that. We should do that and then advertise it on on the podcast. We should do it. We should do an exclusive show
J. Aundrea: [01:00:23] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [01:00:24] touring Atlanta strip clubs, trying out the food, doing our own fake Keith Lee impersonations.
J. Aundrea: [01:00:30] Do a and letās do our own research as, as I think we are. Food connoisseurs we come from. Now you gotta understand Maryland, DC is a, you can get everything.

J. Aundrea: [01:00:41] na, any nationalities, food like you can get, DC is a great food town.
Bruce Anthony: [01:00:48] Mm People. People say that it isnāt though.
J. Aundrea: [01:00:51] I think. I think it is. I think you gotta go to where the people are like, stop going to the same over and over again. gotta go to where the people like you gotta go and stretch and get outta your comfort zone to find that real good Ethiopian spot or something like that. Like not gonna be on that same stretch of Georgetown or whatever the hell people be going
Bruce Anthony: [01:01:15] It might be at the strip clubs. I just donāt know what strip club, I,

Bruce Anthony: [01:01:35] Uh, but on that note, Jay, what do you wanna lead the people here, out here with?
J. Aundrea: [01:01:38] Man, donāt judge a book by its cover. You get some good food at strip club.
