Bruce Anthony: [00:00:41] Like, comment, share, share with your friends, share with your family. Hell even share with your enemies. On todayās episode,
Bruce Anthony: [00:00:49] itās the sibling happy hour. Iām here with my sis Jay, Andrea. Weāre gonna be dillying a little bit and then weāre gonna be talking about this whole controversy about Signal and then weāre gonna be getting into the youth.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:01] But thatās enough of the intro. Letās get to the show.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:11] What up sis?
J. Aundrea: [00:01:12] What up
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:13] I canāt call it. I canāt call it. Iām not, uh, 100% this morning, but we gonna get through it.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:19] we go. Listen, I donāt think that thereās ever been a show where both of us are at a hundred percent.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:25] Hey, these Sunday, these Sunday recordings be getting to me. ācause, ācause itās, itās like one, Iām getting older so I canāt kick it like I used to, but yet I still feel young and want to kick it like I used to. So yesterday me, our cousin and our brother was over at my dadās, over at our dadās house watching the games.
Bruce Anthony: [00:01:47] And then my two boys from that Iāve known since high school came over as well. And what started out to be just, you know, we just gonna chill, have a couple of drinks turned into me not getting into bed until two 30 in the morning.
J. Aundrea: [00:01:58] Mm. Thatās how I be.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:00] Thatās how Iād be, you know, and itās so crazy you donāt see your friends that youāve been friends with for decades.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:07] You donāt see them for a little while. You still communicate with them almost on a daily basis through group check, but you donāt see them for a little while. And then when you get together it is just like old times. Itās just like old times, like nothing changes.
J. Aundrea: [00:02:20] Itās the best, like you pick up right where you left off.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:24] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:02:25] Itās literally the best. I love when I have a chance to like visit. A good friend of mine was here probably about two weeks ago visiting and itās just always so, ācause itās like you just pick up right where you left off. Thatās real friendship.
J. Aundrea: [00:02:38] Thatās what that is.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:39] It is real friendship.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:40] I mean, these are my brothers, you know, despite the fact that sometimes they get on my nerves, but I guess thatās what siblings do. You get on,
J. Aundrea: [00:02:46] are, yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:02:47] thatās, thatās, thatās how siblings are. I also, you know, me being the oldest, Iām always the, donāt make a noise. Donāt do this, donāt do that. So growing up as kids, I tell the story of you and our brother always.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:04] Making noise in the house and dad being like, Iām glad yāall got so much energy and putting us to work. And it was like, yāall never learned. I was like, why canāt yāall play quiet? Be quiet so dad doesnāt make us do work and yāall would never be quiet. As soon as I heard cackling and giggling, I was like, itās only a matter of time, T minus ten nine.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:27] Iām glad yāall got so much energy. Thereās some work to do around the house. Iām just sitting there playing the game, being quiet. Being quiet. So dad went to bed last night and I was like, all right, this is time to leave. But, but everybody and the hair mom going in and outta the house. Mom doesnāt realize that weāre recording.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:44] Huh?
J. Aundrea: [00:03:44] Huh?
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:45] Mom doesnāt realize that weāre recording.
J. Aundrea: [00:03:48] No. What do you mean?
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:49] ācause I keep hearing the chimes of the door or front door being open.
J. Aundrea: [00:03:53] Oh, it might be I donāt hear any chimes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:03:57] do. I can hear everything on these headphones. I mean these stupid bowls there. I can hear everything.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:02] Oh, yeah, I hear it. Oh, well,
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:04] so dad goes to bed last night and then thatās when they wanna start turning on all the games. You know, dadās basement is like, Dave and Bus has got skeet ball and pop shot. And Iām like, itās getting really loud.
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:14] And our brother was like, dad cannot hear us all the way upstairs. But Iām like, just be quiet. Just be quiet.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:20] You donāt know that. Just be quiet. First of all, everybody get out
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:24] He just.
J. Aundrea: [00:04:25] like the host is to bed. Everybody get out. Thatās step one, but step two, if you,
Bruce Anthony: [00:04:34] Be quiet. And then it is just like, itās like they canāt hear. And all three, everybody, my c our cousin, our brother, and my two boys are like, they canāt hear. Itās like 17,000 feet before you get all the way upstairs. And Iām just like, yāall just being real loud and just being real loud. And then all my, our, my boys started joking on me last night and they was like, you are the funniest cat because you had the most leeway outta all of us growing up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:02] Like, we could drink downstairs. Your dad would come downstairs and hang out. We would go out and then you would be like, be quiet when yāall dropped me off. And I was like, yeah. And then dad was like, yeah, he had a good leash. He got a good leeway, but there also came consequences.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:20] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:20] I was like, yeah. And yāall didnāt know what the consequences was.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:22] Yāall thought I just had cool dad. But he is cool sometimes. And then sometimes itād be like, letās slam down the disciplinary actions here.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:30] exactly. Oh, no. Uh, thatās not our mother. I just checked my camera. We got, I got a bunch of things delivered to the house. well,
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:40] Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:40] know, our brother is building a powder room in my basement,
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:45] Yeah, he, he talked to me a little bit about that yesterday.
J. Aundrea: [00:05:47] is a toilet
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:49] Oh,
J. Aundrea: [00:05:50] my door right now. So I gotta bring all that inside, so thatās great.
Bruce Anthony: [00:05:59] okay. Well when is our brother even making the trip down there? Mm. Thatās so funny. Speaking of toilets,
J. Aundrea: [00:06:09] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:09] uh, man, itās getting hot underneath these lights. Speaking of toilet,
J. Aundrea: [00:06:14] in the middle of summer?
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:15] uh, we gonna get into that later, but yeah, Iām probably going to, ladies and gentlemen, yāall watching this video, I guarantee you by the second, third set this sweatshirt is gonna be off ācause itās hot.
J. Aundrea: [00:06:24] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:25] Speaking of toilets though.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:27] The last time my brother was here, he was like, your toilet seat is loose. And itās because the screws underneath had been loosened.
J. Aundrea: [00:06:33] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:34] And he was like, man, itās like slip aside, trying to sit on your toilet. You, you got a wrench or some pliers? I was like, you know, I aināt got no tools. I donāt got no tools in this house.
Bruce Anthony: [00:06:42] And I had to replace my BT anyway because the had broken, so I just had to replace it anyway. And so he said, you want me to just come over and do it for you? And I said, no, I can do it. So I ordered the bidet and it came in and I ordered some tools so I could take the toilet seat off of the toilet and put the bidet on and put this toilet seat back on it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:05] The video makes it seem like a very simple process,
J. Aundrea: [00:07:08] It really is. I installed two on my own, so
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:11] okay. It is a simple process. However, the screws for my toilet seat are just rusted
J. Aundrea: [00:07:20] Hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:20] and also. Iām big. And to get behind the toilet, to take those screws off, very challenging.
J. Aundrea: [00:07:29] yeah. Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:30] I did it,
J. Aundrea: [00:07:31] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:31] a process that should have been 15 minutes, took me an hour and a half,
J. Aundrea: [00:07:35] Mm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:35] and I went down to the office of my building and I was like, Hey, the is the maintenance end.
Bruce Anthony: [00:07:41] And like, no, just for emergencies. But I was like, this might be an emergency. I need some WD 40 to listen up these screws. And they was like, no. I was like, uh, Iāll just take care of it myself. And theyāre like, are you okay? Because I came down there and I was huffing and puffing and sweating, and I was like, yeah, just trying to install my new bidet.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:00] Hereās the thing. Hereās the thing that Iāve learned. Okay?
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:04] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:04] offers you the help,
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:06] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:06] take it the first time.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:08] I did it myself and I was proud of my accomplishment. I got it all, put it on, I put it on, and itās great.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:15] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:16] itās all on there. And I did it all by myself.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:18] That, thatās wonderful.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:20] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:20] But our brother could have just come over with his tools and quickly installed it for you,
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:26] I am tired of always going to our brother. Iām a grown man. Okay. I could put some stuff,
J. Aundrea: [00:08:32] mechanically inclined.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:33] not at all.
J. Aundrea: [00:08:35] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:36] Not
J. Aundrea: [00:08:37] you donāt put stuff together will, I mean, I donāt wanna, but it, itās just the truth.
Bruce Anthony: [00:08:42] itās the truth. I donāt put stuff together. Well, look, when I move outta this place, my little fireplace, which is broke by the way, like it donāt emit any heat anymore. Itās just lights. When I try and take that bad boy out, itās gonna fall apart because the back panels werenāt put on. Right. So itās, itās being put together by some gum and thread.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:01] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:02] Yeah. No, Iām, Iām not great at this stuff, but I wanted to do it by myself.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:06] Well, Iām glad that you, you know,
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:10] I did. I succeeded. And now my toilet seasonās not a slip aside anymore. It got, it got really bad. It got to the point where the toilet sleeping.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:16] Like itās usually like little plastic nuts on the back
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:20] But itās not plastic or mine is metal. Yeah,
J. Aundrea: [00:09:23] thatās a terrible idea. Because water leaks, they rust.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:27] yeah. Thatās exactly what happened.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:28] 40 to get them
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:29] And I didnāt have,
J. Aundrea: [00:09:30] the little plastic caps. ācause that it should be plastic.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:34] no, itās not plastic. It was metal and rested and, and I didnāt have no WD 40. All I had was grit and determination and all this strength that Iāve been doing
J. Aundrea: [00:09:45] could have just used oil like cooking oil.
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:49] didnāt think about that.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:50] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:09:51] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:09:51] right. You did it. You did it. Thatās the point. Yeah. And the next segment break. I gotta go lift a toilet and bring it inside. So I donāt want that just sitting in my front yard.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:05] Yeah. That is pretty trifling. Just to have a,
J. Aundrea: [00:10:09] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:11] isnāt.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:14] he is like, itās a weekend job. Itāll be easy. Heās already reached out to a contractor. Heās like, this is happening. So Iām like, all
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:21] Oh, so he, heās, heās hiring a contractor. Heās not doing it himself.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:26] no, no. He
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:27] Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:28] to do this stuff himself. Like the plumbing and the electrical and all that. You No, I do that
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:32] I wouldnāt put it past him to be able to figure it out real fast.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:35] but I think some of the stuff like he wants to put wallpaper up in there and different that like some of the stuff we can do our own on our
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:41] Uhhuh.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:42] but like the main roughing and all of that stuff and the plumbing and all that stuff. No, we gotta get somebody to do that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:48] So this is not gonna be a half done project. Like the majority of the projects, Iām, I donāt, our brother is we to be our younger brother.
J. Aundrea: [00:10:59] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:10:59] He is not the leader. Yeah. Yeah. He, Iām, I was gonna say heās the leader of the siblings, but there is no technical leader of the siblings.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:06] Yes, there is. And itās me. Iām just kidding yāall. No, we rotate,
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:16] yeah. We.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:17] depending on the situation. Like who leads? We rotate.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:20] We all have different strengths and, and for us, each oneās strength is where the other one lacks. Iām the meticulous one that stays calm under pressure.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:33] No, you do not stay
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:35] Yes. Whatcha
J. Aundrea: [00:11:35] pressure. The
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:36] about?
J. Aundrea: [00:11:36] one that stays calm under pressure is, is our brother.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:40] No, thatās not true. Thatās not true.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:42] of the time you No, a hundred percent.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:45] I what you, how do I not stay calm under pressure? When has there been a time where I havenāt stayed calm under pressure?
J. Aundrea: [00:11:51] do You remember when our, our, our dog was sick. Our family dog.
Bruce Anthony: [00:11:56] Time out. Thatās time out.
J. Aundrea: [00:11:59] 9 1 1.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:03] Alright, before we end this segment, we have to tell the story. Itās not funny, itās a sad, tragic story, but it, thereās a piece of it that is humorous, so go ahead and tell the story.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:13] Uh, itās our, our, our family dog. You know, she was up in age and she started having seizures and we, we witnessed her having a seizure one day and you didnāt know what to do. You called nine one
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:30] I called 9 1 1. I donāt know what to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:32] called the vet. We supposed to take her to the ve Whatās
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:35] Well,
J. Aundrea: [00:12:36] Gonna,
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:37] 9 1 1 could have gave me the number to the vet.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:39] we know that over to the, the vet thatās down the street. We know
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:42] What?
J. Aundrea: [00:12:43] is.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:43] on. You see this is the part where you leaving out.
J. Aundrea: [00:12:46] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:47] ran to me and said
J. Aundrea: [00:12:49] because Iām not good in a crisis. At all like that, you notice I did not say the only one that stays calm under pressure is me.
Bruce Anthony: [00:12:58] our brother was there. He didnāt stay calm either. He, he,
J. Aundrea: [00:13:00] He
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:01] he froze.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:01] No, he didnāt. He didnāt.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:02] He didnāt do nothing.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:04] Well, there was nothing we could do. There was nothing we could do, honestly.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:09] I was the one that contacted the vet, got in the car, drove the dog to the vet, and then paid the vet.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:16] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:17] I was the, the most calm one. I okay. I was maybe not calm. Iām the most take charge. How about that?
J. Aundrea: [00:13:24] Okay. Okay. Yes,
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:26] times when timesā in the crisis. Iām like, my initial reaction.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:31] Nope.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:32] Oh yeah. Because nothing was worse than when you found that dog and you didnāt know what to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:36] know what to do.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:37] Iām like, Jay
J. Aundrea: [00:13:38] literally just standing there with a dog and I didnāt know what to do.
Bruce Anthony: [00:13:41] Jay found a dog that was just wandering, took the dog in and it is like, I donāt know what to do. I was like, you have a dog. You what I do with it? I was like, donāt you have a dog crate? Yeah, itās downstairs. Okay. Put the dog in the dog crate. Okay. Put something, I put something on the bottom of the dog crate so the dog doesnāt sit on on the floor.
J. Aundrea: [00:13:58] when I had Covid and the night I had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital ācause I
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:04] Right. Thatās right.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:05] first call was, was not to nine one one to come get me because I canāt breathe. My first call was to our mom who states away and could not help me at all. Sheās like, call 9 1 1. And Iām like, oh, Iām not gonna, I donāt think things through. Iām not getting the crisis at all. I am not. Thatās not me. Iām not clutch. Iām just not.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:33] No, no,
J. Aundrea: [00:14:34] just
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:34] not quite.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:35] no,
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:36] And our brother.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:37] mind goes completely blank and I never know what to do.
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:40] And our brother, his gift is just to be there. Just to be there and, and, and, yeah, it is just, just, heās a solid rock. He aināt always going to know exactly what to do, but he going to be there. Yeah, he going do something it.
J. Aundrea: [00:14:56] going to do, somethingās gonna get
Bruce Anthony: [00:14:58] Something gonna get done. We all got our strength. And you always the one that youāre the organizer.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:04] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:04] if, if I have, well, letās, letās do this. Okay. Let me figure out the particulars. ācause Bruce only know big ideas. He donāt know how to break stuff down and I donāt, I donāt,
J. Aundrea: [00:15:16] have a, you have a, the overarching idea,
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:19] Yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:20] The particulars of how to actually get this idea to come to fruition.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:25] I donāt know that, look,
J. Aundrea: [00:15:27] your, thatās not your strong suit. Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:29] I can, I can create the overall plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the, the whatās supposed to happen. The big bang to the very, very end. I know what that is now how we get there.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:40] script,
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:41] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:15:41] not going to be your forte.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:43] No, not now. I know how to tie, once somebody does the scripts, I can tie āem all in together,
J. Aundrea: [00:15:49] right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:50] but somebody need to do the scripts, somebody need to do the whole part.
Bruce Anthony: [00:15:53] And Iām like, yeah, this ties in. I can connect the dots but create the dots. Nah, I canāt create no dots.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:00] And
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:00] create the begin and the end the dot.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:02] thatās when I come in and I say, okay, well step one is this, step two, step three, letās work it all the way down the line till we get it done, thatās how we gonna do it. And
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:13] Thatās how
J. Aundrea: [00:16:15] yeah, that works.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:16] I donāt, I donāt think I have that voice, but
J. Aundrea: [00:16:19] thatās all good. Thatās a great impression of you
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:22] I actually, I think thatās the worst. But you know what? Doesnāt sound good.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:26] solid to me.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:27] No, I think that was a horrible impression. But what doesnāt sound good
J. Aundrea: [00:16:30] Hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:31] when youāre talking about war or attack plans, whatever you want to categor it as on a app.
J. Aundrea: [00:16:38] Because what, okay. Yeah. I got things to say.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:43] We gonna get into that next.
Bruce Anthony: [00:16:53] All right, Jay. So there was a big political controversy and it happened on Monday and we had already filmed the show, so we could not talk about it on last weekās show, but weāre gonna talk about it this week, show, and unless youāve been living under a rock, you know whatās going on. But let me just give you guys the details.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:14] So senior officials, including the defense secretary, Peter Haggs, Haggs, Seth.
J. Aundrea: [00:17:19] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:20] the signal group chat to discuss US airs strikes in Yemen. The chat inadvertently included Jeffrey Goldberg, a journalist from the Atlantic, who later published the details. Iāll get more into why he published the details later.
Bruce Anthony: [00:17:34] But the messages include timelines, strike packages, flight or jet developments and missile launch specifics sent hours before the mission risking, risking exposure for real-time. Military plans signal, though itās encrypted, is not authorized for c classified government communication. Itās also vulnerable to hacking IE like Russia, risking leaks, uh, leaks and uh, and licks and licks,
J. Aundrea: [00:18:01] and licks.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:02] and licks
J. Aundrea: [00:18:02] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:03] endangering personnel.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:05] Because if you think people know, not, you know, people knowing our military operations aināt going to, you know, he hit a lick off of that. You crazy. So
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:16] Right. Right, because you going, I mean, thatās what they want. They wanna get that money. Right. We gonna get more to the, the, the, the aftermath of everything. But Jay, you said you had some things to say about this and Iām just gonna give you the floor.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:30] Yeah. Remember that whole chant? Lock her up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:33] Yeah, yeah.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:37] āem up. Whatās the difference,
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:41] Uh
J. Aundrea: [00:18:42] unsecured communication channels by high level officials?
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:45] mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:18:46] the difference?
Bruce Anthony: [00:18:47] Yeah, theyāre saying it wasnāt classified. So thereās a debate of saying thatās, thatās what the debate is. Theyāre saying that itās, there wasnāt a classified information. Um,
J. Aundrea: [00:18:57] I, it, it wasnāt.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:01] I love the semantics that theyāre playing, saying it wasnāt war plans, and I guess, okay, weāre not at war, but theyāre. ācause thatās a gray area. Itās definitely attack plans.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:11] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:12] definitely information was being spread on this signal app before the strikes actually happened. And in,
J. Aundrea: [00:19:22] it was.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:22] in real time they are hsf is updating the people in this group chat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:28] Thatās various individuals right?
J. Aundrea: [00:19:30] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:31] the administration. Even the vice president
J. Aundrea: [00:19:34] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:35] real time, Hey, we hit this person, we hit this person. Things look good on this end. All the while including in this group chat, chat is a journalist
J. Aundrea: [00:19:45] Yep.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:46] Trump doesnāt like. He says he has anti-Trump syndrome or whatever they, they call that thing.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:52] They, they like to come up with little catchy stuff.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:54] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:54] Made up stuff. And Jeffrey is just like, look, he thought it was a joke at first.
J. Aundrea: [00:19:59] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:19:59] He was like, what is this? Then when he realized it was real, he was like, he didnāt say anything. He didnāt release anything specific.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:08] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:08] just said, Hey, look, they included me in this group chat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:11] And he said, these are the things that were included. But he didnāt present āem at first.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:15] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:16] wasnāt until they was like, heās a liar. And he was like, no, no, no, no, no. Okay, I screenshotted.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:22] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:22] he kept receipts, he kept with peace,
J. Aundrea: [00:20:25] in this day and age, you think people donāt have receipts. A journalist.
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:29] right?
J. Aundrea: [00:20:30] Wouldnāt take screenshots immediately. I take screenshots when I pay a bill and the bill, you know, you get that confirmation screen
Bruce Anthony: [00:20:39] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:40] you done paid your electric bill. Iāll take a screenshot because if, if something comes back like I paid the bill, yes, I think so.
J. Aundrea: [00:20:47] If I take screenshots of that, you think, Iām not gonna take screenshots of a, of a this. Iām sorry, but this was classified it. The chat contained detailed discussions about an imminent US airstrike on Hootie targets in Yemen, including locations, tactics, and timing that is classified military information.
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:12] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:21:14] Shared between the vice president, secretary of State, secretary of Defense, other type of this is, do you accidentally, first of all, add a journalist to the group chat? National Security Advisor,
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:29] So I have a conspiracy theory about that, but go ahead.
J. Aundrea: [00:21:34] No, I wanna know, I wanna know the conspiracy theory.
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:36] So it, itās, uh, itās saying that the National Security Advisor is the one who inadvertently added him to the group chat. I, I think he might have done it on purpose.
J. Aundrea: [00:21:47] Because how do you, how do you possibly accidentally add a journalist?
Bruce Anthony: [00:21:54] A journalist that they, the administration thinks is an enemy,
J. Aundrea: [00:21:59] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:00] against him, even though he is just doing his job.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:02] Heās just doing his job, but, but how do you add to a private chat with senior officials that donāt even make sense?
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:11] Look, I got a lot of group chats going. I got, we got like full family group chats just within ourself. Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:22:19] yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:20] have never added somebody to the group chat
J. Aundrea: [00:22:23] No,
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:23] by accident, but these people are close to boomers. Well, well, yeah, and not smart, and theyāre close to boomers. So technology, you know, not the greatest, not their greatest asset.
Bruce Anthony: [00:22:36] However, my conspiracy theory is there are other group chats in that signal and the National security advisor, this probably like, this is my conspiracy theory. This is just, this is, I donāt have no in this, I didnāt do any research to back up this claim. This is just my gut re unsolicited perspective and gut reaction that heās like, thereās so much illegal stuff.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:03] The legal conversations that is going on through this group, these group chats. Iām just, this right here, what weāre doing right now, they shouldnāt be loosely talking about
J. Aundrea: [00:23:14] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:14] attack plans.
J. Aundrea: [00:23:15] unsecure messaging app.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:18] Iām going to slip this to a journalist so it brings attention to the fact that weāre doing these group chats and maybe weāll stop that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:28] You know, low key. I think that maybe, maybe he was trying to do his job and slip some information and busted administration from doing stuff illegally because these are not common. And the, and the, if you read the text messages, ācause I read the text messages. I love getting the details of this administration realizing that the attacks on the Houthis, thatās is Houthis in Yemen
J. Aundrea: [00:23:53] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:54] really doesnāt.
Bruce Anthony: [00:23:56] Help us in anywhere, in any real way. Like, so the Houthis have basically to pirated and cut off certain trade routes, but only 3% of our trades come through this route.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:10] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:11] So itās not a big, itās not a huge deal to us. So the idea that they wanted to put the messaging that this is Bidenās fault, right?
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:21] Everything is Bidenās fault, this was Bidenās fault, and that this is to help freedom in America. No it isnāt.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:28] No.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:29] No it isnāt. And they did, and JD Vance was like, I kind of donāt want to do this ācause itās to no benefit to us. It benefits to European nations more than it benefits us. But if weāre going to do this, we gotta get the messaging right, that the why, because nobody in America is gonna care about this.
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:45] So we gotta be like America, America, America and Biden is wrong. And I just love the fact, like, and if you read the text messages and you read āem in real time, you can see the deceit.
J. Aundrea: [00:24:55] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:24:56] from the administration thatās saying, Hey, this was important. No, it wasnāt important.
J. Aundrea: [00:25:00] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:01] And people fell for it. People didnāt even read the text messages.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:03] People were just like, Nope, itās for America. Make America safe. And you got Marjorie Taylor Green. A UK journalist is asking her about, about this whole controversy and she says, you should go back to your country. And Iām just like, these are the idiots that yāall put in power. These are the idiots. They are at worst case scenario, this is similar to some raunchy, like a dude cheating on this woman and he texting and Snapchat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:30] Right? Thatās thatās what.
J. Aundrea: [00:25:32] thinking that, oh, it disappear, so I could do this In Snapchat, you could still take screenshots
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:38] still takes screenshots and itās not, it can be hacked.
J. Aundrea: [00:25:42] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:25:43] and the Chinese have already infiltrated our social media networks and, and so many bots and trolls that they are causing division in this country that was kind of already there. Theyāre just putting fuel on the gasoline, on the fire already, just making it bigger.
J. Aundrea: [00:26:01] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:03] this, these people are talking about serious plans and the Houthis have the capability to counter attack. So if they gotten this information beforehand, the surprise attack wouldnāt have been a surprise, and we wouldāve been surprised.
J. Aundrea: [00:26:18] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:19] And, and, and people were just like, well, itās not classified. The defense, the MAGA defense,
J. Aundrea: [00:26:25] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:26] that no matter what they do, itās never wrong
J. Aundrea: [00:26:30] yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:31] if.
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:32] Barack Obama or Joey Beans had done any of this,
J. Aundrea: [00:26:36] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:37] and itās so funny that the first thing they did was bring up Hillaryās emails. Again, remember the emails was all the way back in 2016.
J. Aundrea: [00:26:45] Yeah. Yep.
Bruce Anthony: [00:26:47] been, theyāve been living off them emails for almost 10 years.
J. Aundrea: [00:26:50] living off of āem. And, and the, and the thing of it is, is I donāt see anything different except for the fact that, uh, uh, uh, Hillary Clinton ultimately, you know, wasnāt charged. I mean, theyāre not gonna be charged either, but, in both cases, itās about sensitive or classified material being handled these channels that are not designed for secure government communications.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:25] And I love, they had hearings on, oh, Iām getting dazed confused ācause Iām getting older. They had hearings on one day where all the administration officials were basically attacking Jeffrey Goldberg. ācause he hadnāt released all, he hadnāt released the text messages. Right. He hadnāt released the screenshots.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:40] He just said, he wrote an article in the Atlantic saying, Hey, I knew about this two hours beforehand. ācause they put me in a group chat
J. Aundrea: [00:27:47] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:27:48] and then they started lying, trying to discredit him. And he is like, oh, okay. Well I got receipts. So the first day of the hearings before he dropped the receipts. There were some people that were being called to, you know, testify before Congress that said some things that would implicate that they was lying.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:08] Because the very next day when Jeffrey Goldberg dropped them receipts and they got called again, Congress was like, Hey, you said this yesterday. You said this yesterday, and now weāre finding out that this is not the truth. And you know what they did? You know what each one of those people did? They started throwing the Secretary of Defense under the bus.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:28] They was like, well, this comes directly from the Secretary of Defenseās office. And Pete. Because he just announced earlier today that they wanna reduce the civilian workforce at the Pentagon. That there are 950,000 people working at the Pentagon that are civilian employees and they wanna reduce it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:28:46] And, uh, Pete I donāt know if youāre gonna be there for much longer ācause this thing is not gonna go away. Democratic lawmakers are calling for hearings. Theyāre calling for an investigation by the Attorney General. Will this happen? I donāt know, but th this is a big deal and how theyāre brushing it aside and how Trump, who being, whoās being questioned by this and just say, youāre nasty.
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:08] And if youāre, why, how are you asking a question like that when weāre fixing America with, with giving, weāre putting more tariffs on other countries. And Iām like, no. Answer the question.
J. Aundrea: [00:29:18] Itās also not fixing America by putting more tariffs on the other
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:21] Well, well, you know.
J. Aundrea: [00:29:22] and, uh, the cost, the cost of the brick has gone up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:29:27] Well, uh, yeah. So our allies, when we did the whole, when the whole meeting happened with the Ukrainian president, Zelensky at the White House, and he did his tour of Europe, they, they, the, our allies realizing that we were kind of leaving Ukraine in, in the lurch. They banded together. And the French president just announced the other day that they, they put together a coalition of European countries to, to make up pick up the slack that the US is, is, is not participating as much as they were to help Ukraine fight this war.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:01] So basically other, our allies are saying, Hey, look, us being real iffy right now, US is acting brand new. We donāt really need you. We going, weāre gonna go ahead and do our own thing. And this is just another prime example that we got the circus running our country right now. Like they, like ladies and gentlemen, I.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:24] Ladies and gentlemen,
J. Aundrea: [00:30:25] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:26] cabinet members that are supposed to be in positions to actually protect our lives are talking about almost frat boys, like language
J. Aundrea: [00:30:42] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:43] attacking a group of people who had the capability to counter attack,
J. Aundrea: [00:30:49] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:30:50] and theyāre doing it in a group chat on an unsecured network and included a reporter that they deem them, they deem as the enemy of the administration.
J. Aundrea: [00:31:03] then name the group chat, Whot PC small group. Like, like the, the, the idiocy. Honestly, nobody, nobody in that, all the people that were in that group, that group chat, first of all, nobody noticed that Jeffrey Goldberg had been added to the chat. Iām sure thereās like a little line that says so and so has been added to the chat.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:37] You know,
J. Aundrea: [00:31:37] there, like there usually is.
Bruce Anthony: [00:31:40] weāve been in group chats. Typically theyāre family members that add 19 people to a group chat and send it out. You donāt go through all the people. So I could see how that could have slept through the cr, slipped through the cracks,
J. Aundrea: [00:31:52] the name of the chat is small group. So if Iām looking and thereās a phone number or screen name or username or something, I donāt recognize.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:01] right?
J. Aundrea: [00:32:03] You would think if
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:05] would think the vice president.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:07] sensitive military strategies.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:09] The Secretary of Defense, the National Security Advisor, the Secretary of State, all of these people were on there. You would think somebody would be like, yo, who is this? Who is this over here?
J. Aundrea: [00:32:19] is this?
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:20] Who is this person that hasnāt said anything in this group chat? You aināt give a thumbs up a like a heart on none of these comments.
J. Aundrea: [00:32:26] Right? Nothing.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:28] You aināt give no reaction. They real quiet. Who is this? Uh, yeah, no, and and you know why nothing will happen. I was talking to somebody that I know whether or not theyāre MAGA or not, I donāt know. Thatās a gray area. But when this whole thing dropped, they said, Iām just, I canāt recognize the country that, that Iām, that Iām living in right now.
Bruce Anthony: [00:32:56] And Iām like, oh, yeah, because of, you know, them, the dude and the, the group chat and talking about war plans. No, all these Tulsa attacks and bombings. I said, what? Thatās your focus.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:10] Thatās your, I mean, donāt get me wrong, and weāre gonna talk about that on the YouTube exclusive.
J. Aundrea: [00:33:14] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:15] There is some issues that go along with these, these Tulsa, not Tulsa.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:21] Not Tulsa. There was a Obama in Tulsa. But Iām talking about Tesla,
J. Aundrea: [00:33:25] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:26] Yeah,
J. Aundrea: [00:33:26] because I was
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:27] because you was confused too. ācause I said Tulsa.
J. Aundrea: [00:33:29] I was like,
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:29] Hey,
J. Aundrea: [00:33:30] in Tulsa
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:31] I, I told you, Hey look, I aināt 100% right now. Iām struggling. Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:33:37] yāall, if yāall watching the YouTube? I was confused. I was like a Tulsa again. What happened? I
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:43] They bomb Tulsa
J. Aundrea: [00:33:44] this.
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:45] aināt even a lot of black people in Tulsa. Why they go bomb again, kid?
J. Aundrea: [00:33:48] Why would now
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:50] Tesla,
J. Aundrea: [00:33:51] Tesla?
Bruce Anthony: [00:33:52] bad. Ladies and gentleman, Tesla. She was like, I donāt un, I donāt recognize my country because of all these attacks and bombers at Teslas. And I was like certain, a lot of bombers at Teslas. I, I donāt know if thatās the case, but I was like.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:04] Uh, thereās been some, but weāll get into that on a YouTube exclusive. But I was like, thatās the thing that youāre worried about. Not the fact that the people thatās supposed to be securing us are worried about the border crisis and tariffs and talking in group chats about future attacks that include a, a journalist.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:26] But no, the demonstrations and protests at to, uh, Tesla is a thing that, that bothers you the most. And this is the reason why there will be not, thereāll be no accountability.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:38] No.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:39] And Democrats aināt really that tough. Some are, but as a party they kind of like pushovers, you know, they soft,
J. Aundrea: [00:34:46] still trying to live in this world of like decorum and rules and stuff like that, and
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:52] nah.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:53] nah, get, get nasty.
Bruce Anthony: [00:34:56] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:34:56] nasty. If theyāre gonna already accuse you of being nasty, you might as well just be nasty.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:02] It. You know what was funny? We, I was talking to my boys yesterday about fighting and we used to joke, like there was one time where I was about to fight this kid
J. Aundrea: [00:35:11] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:12] and he threw a kick and, and he threw the kick. You know, we took martial arts, he threw the kick. So well, I was like, hmm. This could be a problem.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:21] So what I did was to get outta the fight. Iām like, man, Iām trying to fight you. Like throw fists and you out here throwing kicks and everything. Thatās crazy. And at the time, our generation was like, we not about to fight nobody thatās going to throw some kicks. We want to throw punches.
J. Aundrea: [00:35:34] Right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:35] me and my boy was talking and we was like, we was tripping because it was a fight.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:39] There are no rules.
J. Aundrea: [00:35:40] rules.
Bruce Anthony: [00:35:41] Democrats are trying to stick to rules that republicans, theyāre, theyāre not fighting fair. So if somebody is going to try and kick you in the nuts, you kick them in the nuts back, try to go out their eye. ācause itās a fight. Now. There are no rules. So thatās, they gotta step up. And so the messaging has to be right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:01] You canāt become so whiny that it, it turns off and you crave. More martyrs like the left is attacking them. You had to do it smart and strategically, but they need to be punching them in the face about these, about this leak. Itās a leak
J. Aundrea: [00:36:19] Yeah. Yes,
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:21] and itās classified whether you wanna see itās classified or not.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:24] Itās information that the public wouldnāt be purview to before the fact.
J. Aundrea: [00:36:30] And you know, who, speaking of that, do you know who was top tier at punching back and fighting back and doing a, an, a exceptional job at it?
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:43] Pete. Oh yeah. With Tim. Yeah,
J. Aundrea: [00:36:46] By calling them weird and they could not bounce back from being called weird.
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:52] yeah,
J. Aundrea: [00:36:52] they were trying everything, but they couldnāt, weāre not weird.
J. Aundrea: [00:36:55] Youāre weird. That makes you even more
Bruce Anthony: [00:36:58] yeah. That makes you even wanna wear it.
J. Aundrea: [00:36:59] just did such a good job of, of, of making them ridiculous. And thatās what we need to do. And Pete Buttigieg, you were just bringing up Pete.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:10] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:11] is a masterclass
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:13] Master it. So heās so good.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:16] Heās so good. Heās so smart and heās so quick and he is just, itās a masterclass.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:23] I love hearing him speak. I
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:26] one of them people that if you get in a debate with him, heās not gonna be animated,
J. Aundrea: [00:37:30] now.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:31] heās just going to dissect you to the point where you like, we gotta fight. Because this was just a regular argument talking about Michael Jordan and LeBron James, whoās the better player? But your arguments,
J. Aundrea: [00:37:42] destroyed me
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:43] the way you destroyed me right now without raising your voice, without being forceful or anything.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:48] We got to fight.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:48] Now,
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:49] now.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:49] have to, now I have to fist fight you.
Bruce Anthony: [00:37:51] I got fist.
J. Aundrea: [00:37:52] this is a veteran. He gonna whoop your ass. Itās like you canāt win people. You canāt win.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:03] Well, Iām scared to get
J. Aundrea: [00:38:04] even get into the fight.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:05] well. Iām scared to get my ass whooped. We gonna get into that in the next segment, but, but before we, we get into me being scared to get my ass whooped. What do, what do you wanna, do you have anything else to say about this? ācause I, for real, the fact that this is not a bigger deal.
J. Aundrea: [00:38:18] Yeah. Well, itās because what did they do? They fur, they, they immediately you know, going, oh, this wasnāt a, this was, this was, what did Trump say? This was the only glitch in two months. You know, the, this is the, weāve been here for two months. This is the only glitch.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:34] Yāall only been yāall
J. Aundrea: [00:38:35] first of all.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:36] and yāall only been there for two months.
J. Aundrea: [00:38:39] Yāall only been there for two months and your first quote unquote glitch is a a release of sensitive military secrets.
Bruce Anthony: [00:38:50] And Hold on. Thatās the, thatās only been the glitch. Not, not firing veterans and then coming back and being like, oh, we all accidentally fired yāall. Come on back to work. That wasnāt a glitch. This was a glitch. Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:02] they donāt see those glitches. They
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:05] Oh, wow. Yeah, I, you know what? I would love to live in that type of world where I just,
J. Aundrea: [00:39:09] They
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:10] I take no accountability.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:11] downplayed it and then, you know, you got the press secretary accusing the media of sensationalism, and, and of course they love that term, witch hunt. They love it. I mean, the same energy yāall had for Hillary and AM emails, I need yāall to have that same energy about this, about this incident, because this is worse.
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:39] Yep. You know why? Because Hillary aināt include no journalists in them in that surfer. Oh
J. Aundrea: [00:39:48] And
Bruce Anthony: [00:39:49] God.
J. Aundrea: [00:39:49] I, I think what they ended up finding, there was no sensitive information. Like, thatās why she was never charged. They, and they, they went hearing, after hearing and interrogate and nothing. This, manās got screenshots,
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:06] Receipts. We kept them receipts.
J. Aundrea: [00:40:09] keep the same energy, but yāall not gonna do that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:12] No, weāre living in a circus right now.
J. Aundrea: [00:40:15] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:23] Okay, Jay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:23] I had an in interesting conversation with my boys yesterday, and then I read, somebody sent me something. They sent it to me yesterday, but I didnāt see it until this morning
J. Aundrea: [00:40:35] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:36] I was like, yep, this is what I was talking about last night. So what am I talking about? Right down the street from me, thereās this mall called Pentagon City Mall.
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:44] Itās a huge mall. Itās right, itās right outside of the Pentagon.
J. Aundrea: [00:40:48] Just,
Bruce Anthony: [00:40:49] in Arlington, Virginia. It is right over the bridge that connects DC and Virginia. Everybody comes to Pentagon City Mall. You know you got people that live in Virginia and you got people that live in Maryland. You got people who live in DC come this mall
J. Aundrea: [00:41:01] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:03] yesterday.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:05] There was some ruckus. It was a beautiful day in DC It was like 75, 80 degrees. People was out, you know, it took two hours to get to dadās house from my place, which is only a 45 minute ride. ācause everybody was at the Cherry Blossom Festival. There was a kite festival on the mall. People was out. It was beautiful day in DC and these kids were at the mall and these kids kept getting into group fights.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:27] Like there was one group fight and then they break it up and thereās another group fight and they break up so many group fights. It got to so many group fights that they had to shut down the mall and call and police back up. And then I was like the youth. The youth is wildling. I was telling my boys last night the story of me and my besties walking in DC and weāre about to go down the street and I see some youth on the corner.
J. Aundrea: [00:41:54] You mute?
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:55] I see some youth on the corner, a lot of, a lot of youth
J. Aundrea: [00:41:58] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:41:58] the corner. I said, letās go down the next street. Sheās like, why I always got go down this street? I was like, yeah, but that could be trouble.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:07] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:08] And I donāt, Iām not going to voluntarily put myself in what could be trouble.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:14] Thank you.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:14] If I can go down another street, Iām gonna go.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:17] And my boys was like, yeah, no, exactly. We too grown for that. And I was like, the crazy thing is we used to be that youth, they, they probably wouldnāt have bothered us. But you donāt know.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:26] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:27] donāt know. And, and, and as Iāve gotten older, and remember I used to be one of those youth
J. Aundrea: [00:42:35] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:36] to be kind of in the streets.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:38] Iām now afraid of them.
J. Aundrea: [00:42:39] yeah, because listen, I used to be one of those youth too because a, a mall employee describing the scene said he saw, quote, there were two young ladies that were fighting and officers were trying to break it up, and then they started fighting the officers.
Bruce Anthony: [00:42:58] Oh God,
J. Aundrea: [00:43:01] Okay. So it wasnāt, you think itās just little male youth? No,
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:05] no.
J. Aundrea: [00:43:06] just youths. All these kids are out here scrapping and we need to figure out, honestly, we need to figure out why. What is going on? Our kids, did the kids just not have anything to do, or are, are, are there beefs going on that like authorities need to look into?
J. Aundrea: [00:43:25] Like what, because so many fights that you canāt even keep them all open.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:30] And this is a gigantic mall. It aināt Mall of America Big, but itās pretty freaking big. I, I think a lot of people want to label this as a pandemic issue, and I do think some of it, some of the pandemic has something to do with it. You canāt. We had to lock down, but the kids being locked down. I remember, I remember I was in middle school and I got a bad report card and my dad took me off the basketball team.
Bruce Anthony: [00:43:56] He was like, you got bad report card. You canāt play basketball. And my grandfather said, thatās the worst thing in the world you could do to, to Bruce. Heās got so much energy. Without something, without an outlet,
J. Aundrea: [00:44:08] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:09] gonna bring that energy to the home. Or when he has nothing to do, itās gonna go outside.
J. Aundrea: [00:44:13] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:14] energy needs to be expelled some way. And so when the kids being locked in during the pandemic, yeah. That, that had a detrimental fact.
J. Aundrea: [00:44:23] yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:25] when we were younger, we had places that we could go. We had skate lands, we had YMCAs. There was boys and girls clubs. There were activities, there were things for us to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:44:35] golf. We had places to go.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:38] had places to go and thereās not a lot of places for kids to go. I mean, yes, we used to go to the mall, but the mall wasnāt our only place to go. Hell. We used to go to Toys R Us
J. Aundrea: [00:44:48] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:49] and just, and just play with the free video games that they had on display. There was arcades back in the day where there wasnāt a whole lot of Ruckus.
Bruce Anthony: [00:44:56] And I donāt remember in all the years I went to arcades, people fighting at the arcades. Now, did it happen every now and then, of course. ācause you know, you got so many people in one area, fightās gonna break out. We are grown folks and people fighting at bars and clubs and stuff, and people fighting in the grocery stores, people fighting at airports.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:14] And these are adults, people, large groups, people are gonna fight. Okay?
J. Aundrea: [00:45:17] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:17] Unfortunately. But for the most part, these were places that we could go as youth.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:24] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:25] And you know, just chill out and relax and there all these places are gone. Thereās nothing when you get rid of the arts programs in high schools, right.
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:35] When you get rid of afterschool programs, these kids have nothing to do. And when kids have nothing to do, theyāre gonna find something to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:46] I mean, honestly, the last place they had to go, even though we closed in a lot of these malls, but the last place they got to go is the
Bruce Anthony: [00:45:53] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:45:53] itās like now they canāt even do that because mallās getting shut down ācause other kids are fighting. So itās like these, we took everything away
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:09] Right.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:09] kids. They donāt have, they are full of hormones and energy and they have to get that energy out.
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:19] Lack impulse control because theyāre not fully formed adults. You are not a fully formed adult emotionally and mentally until you are 25 years old. They canāt think about tomorrow. They are thinking about in the moment. So in the moment itās just like when you got kids, when you got little young kids and you like, look, these kids got so much energy.
Bruce Anthony: [00:46:39] Take em to the playground and let them run around all day. Then you know what you say after they run around all day and you put āem in the car, these kids gonna sleep good tonight. Why? Because they tired as hell. You got to tie some kids out.
J. Aundrea: [00:46:51] I do that with my dogs. I just let them run around till they get tired and thatās how I keep quiet. So I because they got so much energy, they need an outlet. They need sports, they need the arts, they need programs. They need, and they, and thereās just nothing there for them.
Bruce Anthony: [00:47:13] I would love, you know, I think it would be a great idea, and Iām not sure DC even has that. I might look into this, this might be, this might be my first foray into my political career.
J. Aundrea: [00:47:23] Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:47:25] I would love to create a music studio that kids can just come to, because everybody is in the music now and these kids know how to make beats and these kids are out here rapping.
Bruce Anthony: [00:47:34] So create a music studio and be like, Hey, look, if yāall wanna do a little demo, create music together because thereās a lot of DC music and thereās a lot of DC beefs. Maybe you could end some beefs by bringing crews together. Just do songs and stuff like that. And thatās something artistic for kids to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:47:51] I mean, whatever happened to when you got beef, yāall battle it out on the dance floor. What happened to that?
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:00] I think that ended in 85, 86.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:02] we need to bring it back because
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:04] Okay.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:05] need another way to go. These kids need
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:08] You say take,
J. Aundrea: [00:48:08] else. Bring back.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:09] you say take these. Take the TikTok dance Trends and they battle out.
J. Aundrea: [00:48:14] battle it out. gonna shut down the mall, itās because a huge dance battle broke out and it can like, thatās okay. Like, alright, I, thatās, we can deal with, but this, I donāt know whatās going on. I donāt know whatās going on with these kids.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:30] I, but see, hereās the thing. We just identified whatās going on with the kids and every generation,
J. Aundrea: [00:48:36] Yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:37] generation says the next generation behind is the worst. They call my generation and your gen, our generation the worst. These kids is crazy. We donāt know what theyāre going to do. And then we said it about the next generation and we gonna say it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:49] Theyāre saying it about Gen Z and theyāre gonna say it about gen alpha and whatever the generation is after that. Itās only because as you get older
J. Aundrea: [00:48:56] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:57] and you got a little bit more to lose,
J. Aundrea: [00:48:59] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:48:59] become fearful.
J. Aundrea: [00:49:01] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:01] Thatās what doesnāt get talked about when you get, when you get older, it really, people say when you become more conservative, when you get older, no, you become more fearful.
J. Aundrea: [00:49:09] Because lemme tell you something, I aināt, Iām not gonna be in these streets fighting. You touch me. Iām calling the authorities and Iām pressing charges. Donāt touch me. Okay? I got things to lose. Do not touch. Iām not, Iām not about to be out here fighting in the streets of, of, for what?
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:25] For what?
J. Aundrea: [00:49:26] 40 years old.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:27] Yeah,
J. Aundrea: [00:49:27] Iām
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:28] can,
J. Aundrea: [00:49:28] the authorities.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:30] I break a hip, itās a problem. If I break anything, itās a problem. I could pull something, throwing a punch. Nowadays
J. Aundrea: [00:49:36] you.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:36] Iām not, Iām not trying to hurt myself.
J. Aundrea: [00:49:37] bouncing back as quickly. Okay.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:40] Nowhere near as quickly as back.
J. Aundrea: [00:49:41] near as quickly. I, my back is going, that pulled muscle that I pulled punching you. Thatās gonna hurt me for about three weeks.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:49] No, no longer three months, three, four months,
J. Aundrea: [00:49:54] I mean, Iām gonna be down for three weeks and then, and then Iāll be back up.
Bruce Anthony: [00:49:59] but just
J. Aundrea: [00:50:00] Iām feeling the pain. Iām still sitting with a heating pad on every night.
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:03] mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:50:04] But at least I could go about my day through the pain. But thatās, yeah. Iām not gonna bounce back as quick. I, Iām not about to be out here with these kids. Kids wanna argue with you and do that. Iām not about to argue with you.
J. Aundrea: [00:50:16] Iām gonna be in my car. Iām gonna go home or else Iām calling authorities.
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:22] So I, I, I, I just, there was an interesting conversation as I was having it with my boys yesterday, and as I got this, you know, me sitting in thought, I was just like, people donāt, people become more conservative as they get older because they become more fearful of the things that they can lose. We had, like, I was talking to somebody and, and he was like, I make so much more money now, but I remember he was like, Iām a thousand there.
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:51] Iām a hundred thousand there now. Right?
J. Aundrea: [00:50:53] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:53] was like, I remember when I was a hundred, a hundred there.
J. Aundrea: [00:50:56] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:50:57] I would just find ways to do something. Like, it was just like, get a six pack or get a case of beer. I would just find little ways to do something. And I was like, yeah. He was like, I never worried about it.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:06] And I was like, yeah, because you werenāt thinking about tomorrow.
J. Aundrea: [00:51:09] No,
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:10] You, you didnāt care about what was gonna happen next month. You werenāt thinking about that when you get older. I am, Iām like getting ready to turn 45. I started thinking about, oh, hmm, I really need to start thinking about retirement soon.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:22] I mean, Iām still 20 years away,
J. Aundrea: [00:51:24] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:24] like, no, this is something I need. I wouldāve never, 25, I wouldāve never thought about what I need to be doing at 45. But go, your plan isnāt that long. But now my plan is what am I gonna be doing in 20 years? Whatās gonna be happening? I need to start making those steps now.
Bruce Anthony: [00:51:42] So itās when you get older, yeah, you become more conservative. But itās itās more about fear. Fear of losing what you have and fear of whatās gonna happen to me. Social security isnāt there. My retirement got to be on point ācause Iām not going to be 70 years old trying to get a bag, groceries at Target just to make ends meet.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:02] Iāll go back to the streets.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:06] No, but thatās real. And, and, and I was just thinking, uh, as you were talking about it, and then I lost my train of thought. God dang.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:16] just talking about the youth fighting the youth again. ācause I can go back to the fighting the youth. Thatās back in the day. I wouldnāt have hesitated walking down that street. Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:27] you know, you know when it, honestly, when it kicked in for me, when I became an adult, it was like, yeah, you know, if Iām getting into fights at 15, 16, Iām just getting into fights at 1516,
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:39] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:52:39] that Iām an adult, thatās an assault charge. Okay. So now thatās a felony. Okay. So it, okay, we could scrap when we was younger, but now we got something to lose
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:51] Not only that, that assault could end up in a murder charge because weāre physically stronger
J. Aundrea: [00:52:57] Yes.
Bruce Anthony: [00:52:58] and you can, I can hit somebody and kill them.
J. Aundrea: [00:53:01] Yes. If
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:02] And
J. Aundrea: [00:53:02] the wrong way,
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:03] they,
J. Aundrea: [00:53:03] just shoved them, if they fall the wrong way, hit their head, something like that. Thatās it. Thatās the
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:09] thatās
J. Aundrea: [00:53:10] my life.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:10] that. Thatās, and, and so when you think about the con, the consequences are way more severe. But even if you hit them and you break their jaw, right, not only do you have a felony, you also got a lawsuit,
J. Aundrea: [00:53:24] Thatās civil case is coming
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:26] right?
J. Aundrea: [00:53:26] and they coming for all your coins.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:29] All your money and youāre like, hold on now. Just ācause this person cut in front of me at the, at the line, Iām, Iām at the self checkout.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:37] They see itās a line. Why you gonna cut in front of me? Because I said something and they said something slick. I hit āem in the jaw. I break they jaw. Not only am I banned from the grocery store, not only do I gotta assault charge, but now I gotta pay they hospital bills and then pain and suffering. And all I wanted was some Harris Teeter kettle chips.
Bruce Anthony: [00:53:55] That was two 50.
J. Aundrea: [00:53:56] have walked away from, you could have just said, Hey, not cool that you did that. Not cool that you broke line, but Iām gonna walk away from this
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:05] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:05] thereās a whole lot more I can lose over some kettle chips. These kettle chips aināt worth my freedom in all of my coins.
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:16] Mm-hmm. So I brought all this up to say yes, the kids are wild and a little bit. But itās also because that they donāt have the opportunities to release that energy like we did when we were younger.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:31] And that is our fault. So instead of us pointing at the next generation and saying that theyāre out here and theyāre the worst generation, you have to take some accountability as the adults. These are children. You have to take some accountability as the adults and like what environment have we provided for them they donāt have anything else to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:53] I remember growing up, we grew up a small town in Virginia.
Bruce Anthony: [00:54:56] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:54:56] nothing to do, but drugs and, and hooking up. There was nothing to do.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:02] Well, we did have the YMCA
J. Aundrea: [00:55:05] Yeah. But I
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:05] and we had Skateland and Showbiz pizza.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:08] once you hit a certain age, once you got into the teenage years, you didnāt wanna do that
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:12] Yeah. There was nothing to do.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:14] nothing for teenagers to do that was constructive.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:18] And so thatās our fault as adults, that weāre not providing a space for them to do something constructive.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:25] It would be really dope if rich people got together and started building, not necessarily community centers, but like entertainment, technology, hubs, places where kids can go. These kids are so creative with technology.
J. Aundrea: [00:55:44] locked in with technology.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:46] Places that these kids can go if they wanna do little viral TikTok dances, like little spaces where they could do that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:55:53] If they wanna learn how to advance computer, computer programming, like little classes that they can do that if they wanna, if they wanna learn how to like mix music and do that. Thereās a little space, like there would be a space, a creative space for these kids. And then you would have like a, a little like, I donāt know, basketball courts or something.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:13] You run little leagues and little teams like something, something to get these kids, hell maybe even bring back arcades, right? Like, like something spaces for these kids to go.
J. Aundrea: [00:56:24] yeah,
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:26] Where you might even have mental health professionals that are counselors that know how to diffuse a situation with children or teenagers when things get escalated, to learn to teach them how to communicate that would help them in their life
J. Aundrea: [00:56:42] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:43] the future.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:44] Like these are things and nothing like this is provided for kids. Nothing.
J. Aundrea: [00:56:48] is, but itās, but it, I mean, because I get, you know, emails all the time from United Way about, you know, different volunteer opportunities.
Bruce Anthony: [00:56:59] Mm-hmm.
J. Aundrea: [00:57:00] so there are these programs, but not enough and thereās, theyāre not scaled up enough to, to really be like a hub for a large number of kids.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:15] Yeah, youāre right. Well,
J. Aundrea: [00:57:18] Um, but there are people in the community that are trying to give kids outlet, a positive outlet, but you know, whether the funding is not there or, or, or itās just not to scale. Itās not enough and, and the kids deserve better.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:39] Kids do. Absolutely. Yeah. And adults, unlike the adults that are in the current administration, not taking accountability for texting, at the very least, attack plans that should have been classified in a group checks
J. Aundrea: [00:57:54] Mm-hmm.
Bruce Anthony: [00:57:54] us as adults need to take accountability for the things that weāve done
J. Aundrea: [00:57:59] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:00] put these kids in these situations.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:03] And also, itās okay to cross those over to that other side of the street.
J. Aundrea: [00:58:06] Yeah.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:07] aināt gotta walk down. Look,
J. Aundrea: [00:58:09] are scary.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:10] you are scary still. I mean, you are scary. You still.
J. Aundrea: [00:58:14] when they used to look at us like that.
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:16] Yeah. Well, sometimes for good reason, sometimes not for good reason, but sometimes
J. Aundrea: [00:58:20] Sometimes for
Bruce Anthony: [00:58:21] some, sometimes, Jay, what do you wanna tell the people out here?
J. Aundrea: [00:58:25] Look, this, keep the same energy. That you got for other people. Keep that same energy. Thatās all Iām asking for. I, I donāt even, Iām not even asking for this administration to take accountability for nothing but what Iām asking for, because theyāre not going to, what Iām asking for is to the people. Yāall keep the same energy, the same energy you got for other politicians. Keep it for the ones that represent you right now.
