The Manosphere Says Empathy Is a Trap for Men. It's a Lie
Summary
Everybody wants empathy, but ain't nobody trying to give it. On this Sibling Happy Hour, Bruce Anthony and his sister Jay Aundrea start light with a grown man who showed up at a pop star's concert to apologize for something he did in the second grade, then take a hard turn into a Las Vegas story so wild it ended in a courtroom.
From there, the conversation goes where it was always headed. Social media keeps getting blamed for a world with no empathy, but Bruce pulls out the history books and the polling to ask whether America ever had any to lose. Jay brings the heat on who this country decides is worthy of care, and the two of them take on the manosphere's favorite new phrase, the empathy trap, separating the kernel of truth from the bad faith wrapped around it. Bruce also gets more honest than usual about why even he keeps the deepest stuff locked up.
Then they land the plane with the YNs at work: young cashiers, drive through workers and retail kids with no filter, no fear and zero customer service training. Somebody is getting called auntie, somebody is getting called OG, and somebody is getting roasted for their outfit.
